Any reviews for Tea at Rose & Crown?

Yes, I believe it is new. I haven't read any reviews of it yet, but I'm interested as well, especially since our last experience at our long-beloved afternoon tea at the GF was rather mediocre, and the portion sizes had decreased fairly dramatically since our last visit (yet it's still $$$$). :(

I too would love to hear any reviews. My 2 DDs and I do the Afternoon Tea at the GF every trip (it is a tradition for us while DH goes and does something else). The only thing is, my DD17 does not like tea (she always gets juice at the Afternoon tea), but I know she would love to do this because it is in her favorite pavilion in one of her favorite Disney restaurants, AND they serve scones.

I'm also interested in this experience and would give up my GF Tea Room ADR for this if it is worth it. Hope we'll hear reviews soon!

My wife and daughter did this 2 years ago. They said it was ok, nothing great. You learned the history of tea. In the end, you got a cup of tea and a scone. For the money, they though it was worth it.

I booked an ADR for March 15. I tried to book one for Jan 4 but none were available for my date.
I'll keep looking though.
In 2017 Twinings offered a Tea seminar in Epcot. This Tea at the Rose and Crown is different as it includes Tea, Scones and Sandwiches.
I have done the Grand Floridian Tea a few times. To be honest the last time I went (G.F.) it didn't feel like anything special,(no tablecloths,no real china) ,and the price increase was quite high for the portions and options. You can get a wide Variety of Teas at the G.F. though.
I think having a place to sit down and relax with a cup of tea in Epcot is a wonderful offering.
I am looking forward to reviews of this experience.
Regards
Mel

Exactly! We were shocked at how much these things had changed on our last visit! To me, the portion sizes in the past made it kind of a hidden gem...for us, it was more than enough food to get us through the rest of the day and evening with only a small snack at around 7 or 8 pm. But now? No way. Given the price, and how much we were disappointed with the changes, I doubt we'll be doing it again.

I too booked the March 15th ADR. There is a YouTube video on the tea. This one appears to be fairly low key. I am looking forward to it as I was in England last Sept and did some lovely afternoon teas. I have never done the one at the GF but this is a small group doing the same tastings together.

I have been trying to book this for my trip in late April and nothing is showing as available for the one weekend I am there. Is there a different way to book it? Or is it only 60 days out you can book or something?

I think I tried it thru my Disney Experience app but I did it in January for March 15th.
Try calling WDW Dining and see if you can get it that way. I had to call for the Illuminations dining package because it wouldn't allow me to make a reservation for a single thru the App or through Disney.com and they put me through to Guest Services (they were super helpful)

DH and I did it in Dec.
It was very nice. We got tea history, 4 kinds if hot tea, an iced tea, plate of sandwiches....I think there were 4 of them and a plate with 2 large scones. Then we got to pick a tea and take a tea bag home.
It lasted about 1 1/2 hours.

We did it in Jan. It was really nice. As Meriweather said you’re given 4 hot teas (English breakfast, Chai spiced apple -tasted like Christmas, summer berry green tea, & budding meadow camomile) & 1 lady grey iced tea. I only remember what 2 of the sandwiches were, egg salad & chicken curry. I don’t remember exactly what the other 2 were, but 1 had dill & the other maybe had a cheese & fruit. I enjoyed all of them except the curry. The scones were plain & fruit. They came with a strawberry jam & clotted cream. It was the first time we had ever tasted clotted cream. It was heavenly :cloud9: & really rich. It’s a nice treat for those who really enjoy teas.
Ever since I’ve gotten an iPhone 8, I haven’t been able to upload pics, not sure why, sorry.

The other sandwiches were Borsin cheese on rye.....love Borsin, but hate rye. the other was a chuteny....Branston maybe

Quick question for those who have attended, do you pay in advance?

Haven’t attended this yet but I was just FINALLY able to book it during my trip and yes, you pay in advance.
