hi

wanting to celebrate son's fifth birthday at UO- any suggestions on a good "kid friendly" place to eat either at the parks or city walk?

would it be possible to request a cake or something with a candle in it (cupcake) for dinner at a restaurant?

staying club level at RPR- does concierge arrange this type of thing?

thanks for any and all suggestions

lisa:wave:

Let the receptionist at RPR know it'll be your son's birthday. When I celebrated my Sweet 16 there, I got a basket full of candy and goodies, which was nice of them. Not sure if they'll do that or not, but it's worth asking! :)

I know Hard Rock Cafe makes a big deal out of birthdays, but I don't know about anywhere else...

thanks for the quick replies:p

i forgot about NBA city as he loves sports

and i surely will let the receptionist know we are celebrating a
b-day ( couldn't hurt:sunny: )

can't wait- this weather is driving me crazy here:crazy: we actually had snow again today!!

Circus McGirgus would be fun! It is like a big circus tent and the food is pretty good.

I'm not sure of your budget, but Universal does offer an " All Inclusive Birthday Package". It includes park admission to EITHER US or IOA, Cake, Ice Cream, decorations, etc.... Extra's include a character meet and greet. It starts at $581.00

Call- 407-224-BDAY

thanks wendy

but that is waaaaaaaay beyond my budget:earseek:

i would be nice though... but won't be happening- my husband would really think i had lost it:jester:

Yeah......... that's what I think too.......... except that I think, and I may be wrong......... but I think that price is for the park admission for the guest as well............. ( On Universals website it states that the cost is for up to 16 people) Still too pricey for my budget...............

Someone else had suggested NBA city............ my boys LOVED this place, the food was awesome!!

There is also the character breakfast..............???

I'd talk to the concierge, and see what they might be able to do!!!

Have a great time!!

:cool1: Happy Birthday to your little one!! :cool1:

My boys really like the atmosphere of Nascar. If your little boy is into race cars, he would enjoy this restaurant. It's very cool to be eating with a race car suspended over your head! Every once and a while they rev up the engine really loud and smoke comes out!

I would do the Scooby and Shaggy character meal at the Islands Restaurant. I bet they would come over and help sing Happy birthday. I am sure they can arrange for a cake as well. Whatever you do let the concierge know it is his birthday, they might do something special for him in the room.
