Any Restaurant Selling Alligator Meat?

Hi all,

My husband had his first taste of alligator meat in New Orleans when we visited last year and loved it. We are going to Disney World in April (staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge). Does anyone know of any restaurant inside the World or in the surrounding area that serves alligator meat? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I would like to know this too! Where I work, we serve alligator pizza but it's the only alligator I have had but I would like to try somewhere else.

I would say no becuase I have looked over the Menus often. I have never seen alligator on any menus. You can go to Gaterland, newar Disney and they sell alligator meals.

I don't know if they still have it, but years ago when we were in MK there was a little store in in Frontierland (I think it was the Trading Post? I know that the store is still there) and they had alligator beef jerkey. They also had other kinds that DH got. I seem to remember Ostrich, and a couple other ones as well.

Question for 2013: Is anyone aware of any Disney restaurants offering gator? I remember eating it in a sausage and/or stew form at the Grand Floridian about 20 years ago. I haven't seen it since then, but maybe I need to venture out from my normal restaurant choices.

The only restaurant I know of that sells Alligator is Charlies Steak House and its not on Property. It is close though....It in Celebration.

If you're willing to take a side trip, get yourself to Crabby Bill's on the beach near St. Pete's. They have gator nuggets that are really tasty.

One year the Food & Wine Festival had alligator fritters, but I've never seen gator offered anywhere else at WDW and I've been going regularly for 10 years.

If you go to the top of the page there are two lines of quick links. Click on <Dining> and it will take you to a page with a search feature near the top. Type in ?? and click <ENTER> and it will show you every Disney Restaurant that serves ??, the meal, the menu item description, and the price.
