Any resorts not charge for extra adult?

Do any of the cheaper deluxes not charge for an extra adult in the room? We have 3 adults and 2 children (5 & 1) and we currently have a room at CSR using the AP rate, but of course we are having to pay the extra $15 a day for the extra adult (we are honest people and wouldn't sneak the extra person in). I'm thinking if I am paying $124 +tax a night and WL or AKL is just a little bit higher but no adult charge I might switch my ressies.

I welcome any thoughts on the matter.

I believe that the deluxe resorts charge $25/night for each additional adult.

We've stayed at the GF and YC with 3 adults and 2 children. Our oldest is 19. I know that I've been quoted the additional $25 for her, but I have yet to be charged. I don't know if this is normal practice, or if we've just gotten lucky on both occassions.

BuckNaked is right. It is more for Deluxe resorts. Our friends just got back from BC and they had an extra 25 a night to have my friends sister with them (3 adults, one child and baby.) That adds up fast over a week. They did have enough room, it was a big room.

I think it is 15 for mod and 10 for value, but I am not sure. This is one thing I hate about WDW (but they are not alone in it.) I mine if you want to share a room, it is your choice. Espcailly when we are talking about adult children who are just over the age of 18.

One thing I love about DVC, same rate no mater how many you have in the room, as long as it is the allowed limit. :Pinkbounc The same would go for renting points.

We are taking my mother just as we did last May and there is no need for her to have her own room just yet. The 1 year old is in a crib and my DD5 loves to sleep with grandma. We offered to pay her way in return for being our "nanny" :) . Just thought I would check all my options. Definately not paying $25 extra. Thought $15 was bad enough. So much for that thought.

Most hotels these days base their rates on 'double occupancy' and will therefore charge for additional adults.

It's interesting though that they never offer me any kind of discount when I travel as a single...

If you book a "home away from home" (OKW, SSR, VIllas at WL etc) I don't think they charge, but the catch is the rooms are more expensive.

My next question is WHY??? If we are within the guidelines of occupancy then what does it matter how many adults there are? Is it that they may use more soap than a child? shampoo (which we bring our own)? towels? What extra expense does an adult vs. a child have? I know is this not only Disney, but it got me thinking. And yes we could lie and say she is a child or not claim her at all but that is just not us. Anyone in the hotel industry who could explain this to me I would love to hear from.

Just curious :confused3
