My cousin and her daughter got a great deal on flights for a first trip to Disney and I was wondering if there are still any resort discounts available for Aug 24th-27th? I noticed Mousesavers have some Sept codes but I'm not seeing anything for Aug. Any advice?

Are they AAA members? If so, there might be some AAA rooms still available.

The only other discount that might still be available is an AP holder discount. Since they are only going for 3 nights, it would not be worth purchasing an AP.

Finally, check the Swan, Dolphin or DTD-area hotels for any end-of-summer specials that they might have. The Swan/Dolphin has rooms as low as $139 per night with a complimentary upgrade. Check this linkWDWInfo.com - Resort Discounts

Good luck. I hope they find something!

Depending on the discount, it may be worth it to get one AP. For example, if you are staying at a deluxe hotel and have $90 off rack rate-that's $270 for 3 days; plus buying a three day hopper (assuming you can get one) is another $180. Total: $450. An AP is only $403. And if they make another trip within the year, it's definately worth it.

Go to the Starwood website. I found an offer today for the Swan and Dolphin for $139/night and up. I'm not good at posting links, but just look for the Limited Time Offer. I found the Sheraton Safari for $59 a night.

I hope that helps!

My cousin is a struggling single Mom so I think the Value Resorts would be the highest she'd go. Next month there's a code for $55/night, but next week is only offering the usual $99/night.
I'll ask her if she's a AAA member. Thanks gang for your help and advice.

Just out of curiosity.........would you mind sharing how "great" a rate for a flight you got out of MN! This is always a hard one for us in MN. Many great deals do not come our way. Just wondering. Thanks and hope you find a good deal for a room. I'm going in Nov and got the $49 rate for Pop Century. I haven't been here and am excited about seeing it. Good luck!

Not to stir the pot, but if there are any government employees, you need to check out www.getravelop.com It is a time share (RCI) deal where gov employees get a discounted rate, no one has to sit through anything. They treat you just like and owner and you get all the perks for less $$$$$. We are staying at Summer Bay Resort (5 min from wdw) for under $300 for the full 8 day 7 night week. Just FYI. You cant use this enless you are a government employee i.e cop firefighter, dispatch, military etc.

Hi DianaPrincessofWales and fellow Minnesotan. I'm inquiring for my cousin and she's flying out of Chicago. I think her rate was $99 R/T. I feel your pain tho, I've never seen rates like that up our way.
Thanks firemouse. Not a govt employee, just a self employed single Mom.
