This year, we'll be going to the parks only 2 days, so I'd like to find other CS besides EOS & WPE in DTD. We love the food there, but with 9 CS to do (7 outside parks), I'm ready to explore other options. We will have a car, so travel time is not a problem. Last year, we did Pepper Market, and loved the many options. We don't want to eat burger, chicken fingers, ... So I'm looking if there are other reasort with diversified offerings. I think I've seen ribs at POR or POFQ in a review, is that every day, lunch or dinner?

Also, we will be staying at AsMu, is it worth hopping over to Sports or Movie or is menu the same? I've checked the online menus, but for resort CS, they seem very incomplete.

Thanks!

The Mara at AKL was EXCELLENT. We have not been to that CS in about 2 years, though...but before that we dined there probably 5 times and it was really really good with interesting options!

I agree that Mara is tasty. We haven't been there in a couple years but we liked it a lot. Didn't care for Pepper Market when we stayed at CSR.

At POFQ last May, ribs were on the menu every evening during dinner. Pretty good, too, as was the fried chicken.

Mmmm, will probably check out The Mara, AKL is such a nice resort, it would make a perfect "outing" on a non-park day. Will probably check out POFQ as well, since ribs are confirmed!

POP has a good food court with a lot of variety. We really liked Pepper Market too because it's such a good deal on the DDP.

It depends a bit whether you're simply looking for nice food or a bit of atmosphere with it.

Mara has good theming and good food. Pop Century's foodcourt has a wide range of choices that are all very tasty but the atmosphere is very food-court.

Gasparilla Grill (I think that's its name) at the Grand Floridian does lovely CS food - all cooked to order so they give you a beeper... but the room you eat in is soul-less. We order here and go eat on the terrace just outside staring at the lovely Grand Floridian!

Have fun choosing,
Miranda

We enjoy Captain Cook's at the Poly. I like the poly chips, hawaiian flatbread and the asian noodle bowl. They also cook to order and give you a pager while you wait.

I love the Pepper Market at Coronado Springs. It is a different kind of set up but I would consider it CS. There are a lot of choices from fish to chicken to beef to salads. The resort is also themed very well in a Mexican colonial motif. A walk around the grounds just to see all the fountains is worth the trip, especially if you have a little time to kill while you are there.

There are some differences in the All Stars Food Courts - I know sports has buffalo tenders and I don't believe the other ones do.

I do not like Mara at all.

I do like Captain Cooks at the Polynesian - the grown up grilled cheese and the chips are awesome. Nice to take the food outside there too and enjoy the atmosphere.

Pepper Market for the Mexican food but don't like the way they add the gratuity there.

We love the chicken or veggie lo mein from Capt Cooks at the Poly. Their Hawaiian BBQ pork sandwich with housemade chips is also a huge winner with us!

At POFQ DH is madly in love with the made to order taco salad with your choice of ground beef or chicken and your choice of toppings...

We would go out of our way for either of these places

I really enjoy POR CS "The Rivermill"
There is a Fried fish basket or Fried chicken, comes with fries
and my Favorite--the Create your Own Pasta.
You get to choose the type/shape pasta you like
and there are choices in sauces Marinara, cream, pesto.
then you choose the add ins--Chicken, shrimp, sausage,
Artichoke Hearts, Roasted Red peppers,
Basil, garlic and the list is long of choices (you can do Veggie
Version--no meat--any thing you like).
Then they cook all of your choices fresh for you as you watch.
You have a choice of adding Parm. cheese at the end and
you get a garlic bread.
The Serving of Pasta is enough to feed 2 people.
The atmosphere in the food court is really neat with
the large water wheel gears.
Whenever we stayed at POFQ we walked over to POR
several times to eat at the Food court because the food
was so much better there.
Have a Fun Trip!

Definitely the Pepper Market at Coronado! It has much more variety than the typical CS restaurant and is a great bang for the buck if you're on the dining plan. I'm a big fan of the Mexican station, but they have a lot of great stations!

We stayed at WL last year and enjoyed Roaring Forks, their CS. There were some really good sandwiches and salads and outside seating.

Contempo Cafe at the CR was awesome. Also if you are at MK it is easy to walk or first stop off the Monorail. Very nice dishes and great sandwiches. Desserts not prepackaged and yummy. Not even close with any other CS we have encountered.

Agreed. They have a salad with chicken and apples that is to die for. DW got it three days in a row last trip! We ride our bikes over from FW just for that salad.
