Any reports on Bedbugs at any Universal Hotels?

Read some comments about bedbugs reported at some Disney hotels..
Heard on the news that it exists in the finest hotels, large cities, like NYC...With that being said, it just sounds AWFUL!!!!!!

Anyone have negative experience at any of the Universal hotels?

I hope not cause we are staying at RPR in July and I think if there were then some of the people here would say so

The local news keeps covering the bedbug reports but so far I haven't heard of any issues at the onsite hotels.

and that's why we always stay at the same hotel...because we can trust it.

if there were bedbugs at universal, i wouldn't go

I've read a few Disney on site hotels, but some people seem to not want to believe it...."Oh, not at Disney is their thinking"...It is happening in all major cities..

I read a trip report a few pages back that mentioned red ants in the bed at HRH. But I think red ants are different than bed bugs....right????

I would imagine that red ants probably got inside on someone's shoes or somehow from outside. Bedbugs are a completely different insect.

I thought bed bugs were microscopic and very common in every household. Are they really visible and can you feel them when they bite? Wow! I'm gonna do some research now... Thankfully I've never experienced this. Yuck!

You are probably thinking of dust mites. They do live in every house but don't bite. Bedbugs are not everyday occurrences and they do bite causing severe itching.
