We are going in 3 weeks and are not staying on site. Has anyone heard reports of being turned away due to capacity?

Rumor is that USF and VB hit capacity yesterday. So, I guess someone got turned away, but it's anecdotal.

VB showed "closed due to capacity" on the app for about 2 hours yesterday- ~11am-1pm, so I would say that yes, they hit capacity for VB at least.

How about the VQ availability? Has it improved any/fixed the issue where everyone in your party can make separate reservations for everyone else? Generally we go to Universal just to suck it up and wait in the hour long line for Hagrids. Now being unable to get on our favorite ride in Orlando, or our favorite ride in the other park (Mummy) plus difficulty getting on the other 2 Potter rides makes it not very worth in to us.

We were all able to get VQ but I would say being there at open is necessary. I will admit, as long as they are letting each phone (even without a sign in or linked ticket) get them- it’s going to be tough!

Is it first come, first serve or are there certain things to do to secure entrance? We are staying onsite, if that matters.

Looks like Disney is finally allowing reservations to be booked next week, and that looks like an IT overload waiting to happen.

If you are staying at an on-site hotel you are guaranteed entry. No need to worried about being denied entry either way really.
