Any rental car w/ FREE carseats?

We will be flying into Orlando... driving to Disney's resort in Vero Beach for a few days... and then driving back for a few days at WDW, We will be renting a car for 3 days. I have found some decent deals on car rentals, but we will need 2 car seats... at $10/seat/day that is an extra $60... OUCH!

Does anyone know if any of the car rental companies provide free car seat rental? Or, which company has the cheapest car seat rental?

I think they all charge, and $10 is pretty standard. $9.95, $9.99, in there. Just consider it part of the cost of the rental.

Why not just bring your own car seats and use them on the plane?

Our kids are 2 & 4... their car seats cannot be used on planes. Our only option for taking them on the plane is to check them... which costs $20 each... cheaper than renting car seats, but much more hassle.

If the 4yo is in a booster, then you are right but are you sure about the 2yo? I used my son's Britax Marathon (which is a big seat) until he was over 3yo.

I think it's a MUCH bigger hassle to rent seats because 1. you have no idea what condition the seat will be in 2. you will be using a seat you are not familiar with, which can create frustration 3. it's much harder to get a good install on a car seat you are used to using. Yes, the car seats are bulky and one more thing to carry to the airport, but checking them is cheaper than renting and then you know what to expect. (And I'd consider using the seat on the plane for the 2yo - children up to 40 pounds are safer in a restraint on the plane anyway.)
