Any recommendations to get in Le Cellier without reservations?

Well said! This is where DH and I are planning to eat our 'romantic adults only dinner' in December (Kids will be with a sitter). Now I just hope we can get an ADR!

My new favorite place is Grand Floridian Cafe. GFC had a great steak, great service, and a very pretty view of the lake.

I disagree. I do think that, with persistence, it is highly likely that the OP will get something for Le Cellier. Will it be the exact time/date he wants? Probably not. Will they have to go for lunch instead of dinner? Maybe. But with persistence and an open mind I think that they will get something.

In 40+ WDW trips I have never been shut out of any dining experiences I wanted, even though some were booked up when I initially tried to reserve them. Sometimes I've had to become obsessive about checking, but something always opened up eventually.

I'm not having much luck with anything opening up for my trip, so I'm doubting the OP will get lucky. I can't get either lunch or dinner for the 5 days we will be at Disney World next month.

I have meals at Le Ceiller 3 times, and each time I have listened to them turn away walk ups. It may be worth a shot, but it is a long shot at best.

I've always gotten almost exactly what I want when I want, but I'm worried a little this time. Taking a rookie, I'm hopeful to show him what I like best. But if we don't get Le Cel or can't get Cat 1 9:30 HDDR for the night I want, I can figure out something. Hoping that since Le Cel is on my sixth day, I'll be ahead of the pack. If not, maybe Mexican. Glad Biergarten is easy.

I think the best bet to obsessively check online.

Next, if no luck, walk up - and then maybe walk up again later - I have been there on more than one occasion while they have turned away the first 10 people who have walked up and then takedn the next three, turned away a bunch, taken one. The ones they have turned away they tell they are completely booked but then when they see they have an opening and someone walks in they just take them.

I finally got a reservation at our 45 day out mark. Someone must have cancelled - its not on the exact day I wanted but if your flexible things may work out for you.

About 2 years ago we were able to get in a a walk up, but it was first thing at 11am for lunch. This was the last week in Jan.

I wish they would do without reservations altogether or require a deposit. I tried to do my ADRs at 90 days and got one of four. I know lots of people horde reservations *in case* and it really sucks.

IMHO DDP, Free Dining and ADRs are ruining WDW food. The restaurant food is declining while the prices are escalating for those of us who do not do DDP it is forcing us off site.

What's been bothering me lately are posts where people are talking about cancelling their trips because they can't the ADRs they want.

If you have 3TS per day, why not skip a breakfast and make a reservation at Yachstman for your anniversary dinner? You need a backup plan. Check out their menu. Everyone here is just trying to help you find a decent alternative so that you can have a wonderful anniversary.

right at Yacht club - walk by the Storm a long bay pool area - it faces the pool - very nice - GREAT FOOD _ GREAT chefs!!

Samantha Brown went there on one of her Travel Channel shows - it is darker, but it is Disney!! Great Anniversary Place!!

Dress is the same as Le Cellier. It is at the Yacht Club Resort, which is a short walk from the International gateway at Epcot (or you could take the boat). After dinner you could take a stroll along the Boardwalk and check out all of the action there.

I feel like it can never hurt to try walking up. I just saw a post about 15 minutes ago saying someone cancelled an 8am reservation for tomorrow morning @ CRT which is unbelievable! So, you just never know!!

When are you going to WDW? I have two reservations for LC, however, they are back to back days. The more I think about it I don't think we are going to want to eat here two nights in a row. The reservation is for 5 and I would be willing to coordinate it's cancellation for sake of your anniversary celebration (we are also celebrating an anniversary). If you can't take advantage of it I will put in on the trade/cancellation post. Let me know....

Hmm, well we tried to walk up to Le Cellier once. I think it was during Spring Break though and thats a whole different beast! So we were denied! From what I hear its less crowded for what time of year you're looking at... It never hurts to give it a shot.

You might try booking for a party of four.

I have heard frequently that tables for one, two, and three are hard to come by because of very few two-tops in the restaurant and they want to leave as many seats available for more paying customers.

So try your luck with that!

At Le Cellier anything goes as far as dress. Yatchsman is a Signature restaurant (2 credits if you are on the DDP). They do have a dress code of business casual. There was a post here on the DIS not too long ago about a woman who was denied entrance. She was wearing a pair of designer distressed (holey) jeans, nice blouse, and heels. She was turned away because of the holes in her designer jeans. I know the last time I ate there, I saw a few pairs of nice capris, dresses, and pants, but no shorts at all (even though dress shorts are allowed under Disney's business casual dress code).

I actually think that it is highly likely that you will get something if you are persistent. Just keep trying the online system as often as you can. Also, try for lunch as well as dinner. Some of the most popular dinner entrees are on the lunch menu.

Being persistent certainly worked for us. When we first we able to book ADRs for our trip, we couldn't get into Le Cellier for either lunch or dinner on September 3rd. When the online reservation system became available, I tried a couple of times and eventually got a late lunch (1:50 p.m.) for that day.
