Any recommendations for strollers?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a great stroller for WDW and airplane travel for a 2 year old? I am hoping to find one with a basket, a reclining seat and a sunshade, but I am really not sure which one would be best. For our last trip we took the "big stroller" which was part of a travel system. We were wondering if we should just stick with that or try a lighter and more compact one which would be easier for the WDW buses and flights.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

If you are staying at a resort I highly recommend renting the strollers at the parks. They are great & you don't have to fuss with one on the busses or transportation.
Otherwise, check out the Kolcraft Contours lite at Sears' website (the 4 wheel version). This stroller folds up very compact, turns on a dime, navigates tight spaces incredibly, is super duable, and the best part- it was only $60!!
When I brought it home my husband thought I spent close to $200 from the looks of it! I absolutely love it and recommend it highly. Plus, it looks really cool & sporty too

Everyone here will probably say Maclaren, but I miss my Combi since my 2 year old outgrew it-40# and feet were dragging on the ground-not sure how tall he is since he won't stand still for me to measure him. He's more the size of a 4 year old. Combi folds smaller, is lighter, and pushes easier IMO. It's also small enough to maneuver easily through a crowd. The basket is smaller than Maclaren but I was surprised by what I could shove in there. The sunshade has better coverage than my Maclaren Quest. Here is a model made by Combi that is cheaper than stroller rental.
The down side to any travel size stroller is that you lose storage-no cupholder tray, small basket. The other option is a cheap umbrella stroller with no basket for $10/$15 with shade. They are great for older kids who just need a ride once in a while, not so hot for naps since they don't recline.

I just picked up a chicco C5 for my trip this comming spring, it has handles at a comfortable hight for short or tall parents reclines and has a small basket under it.

Thank you all very much for the suggestions. The height of the handle is pretty improtant since my wife is 5'4" and I am 6'5". We are going to check out a few stores today the see if these are comforatable for us both to push.

We bought a mid-sized Evenflo in 2002.

It was about $50-$60 at BRU.

I wanted a canopy, a little recline to the seat (I don't let my kids nap in the stroller but if we were walking back to the room for the real nap & they fell asleep at least I could recline them), a cup holder for me, a big basket & a tray for her.

I found all that in the Evenflo & it was so much less then the expensive strollers that did not have all the bells & whistles we wanted.

My suggestion is to go to BRU & browse their stroller selection & choose the one from there.

I was just at BRU on Saturday since we needed a new stroller. I got a Joovy (I saw many postitives about that one here) & so far I am happy with it (but I have 3 kids). It is my final Disney stroller.

Just make sure it is easy to close.

It has been several years since we've been to WDW but when we were there the strollers you rented seemed really uncomfortable. They were hard molded plastic. I was very glad we had taken our own - just remember to take something unique to tie on your stroller so that it is easy to spot. They move them around outside of the rides and it won't be exactly where you left it.

I just used one my neighbor had that she got at Target or Walmart. It was compact but had a basket and a canopy. It was easy enough to fold up to ride the buses around. My dd was 2 1/2. We went in Oct 2004. If you will be in an airport I suggest bringing your own. I remember being on here trying to decide to bring my own or not. I am so glad I did. There are long walks in the airports plus long walks up to the gates at the parks. And around resort areas. I also tied ribbon on mine to spot it in the crowd of strollers.

We took our 2 yr old in July, and bought the Jeep umbrella stroller from Walmart for $25.00 and loved it!!!!!!!

It comes with a shade, cup holder and is all terrrain. It also has two little side pockets for small things to be stored. It does recline back to one more setting and what I loved most about it was the mesh back which seemed to keep my son much cooler in the hot July heat. It also has a built in pillow too! If you are traveling on the busses, it folds up easily and is very lightweight. I highly recommended it!!! My son hardly ever fell asleep in our full size stroller, and napped everytime in this stroller!

For my last trip I found one that I liked cup holder and tray for my child and 2 cup holders for my and family, a deep basket on the bottom, and a fast and easy fold button on the handle. It didn't have the handle height adjustment that we wanted but it had the best one handed fold button that we needed.

I have tried the umbella strollers and will never do that again. While they may be easy to fold there is almost no shade, no storage, and had to try and fix the wheels 2 days into the trip. By day 4 it fell apart.

I have tried renting strollers in the park. It can be very costly if you are staying more than a week. Sometimes they are out of them. At the end of an exhasting day you will need to carry your sleeping child, bags that you brought with extra clothes/snacks, and any items you have purchased back to the bus stop and then once you get off the bus back to your room. Doesnt seem like a lot but at the end of the day those little tikes can be quite heavy.

My suggestion is to shop around until you find one that suits most of your needs. Pay a little extra for the things that matter most to you.

We were having the same dilemma and spent a great deal of time trying out many strollers and researching. We ended up with the Graco Mosiac, it has a nice basket, reclines, sunshade, folds like an umbrella stroller and is light. It turns great, pushes easy and has one cup holder on the handle. We have not taken it to Disney yet but it seems to be a good fit. I would encourage you to check it out. It's available at Toys and Babies R Us, Burlington, Target, and Sears in our area. Hi we were in the same situation as you and found this stroller to really work for us. Graco CitiLite. It has an adjustable handle so that it works for both a tall and short pusher. There is a good size basket, cup holders and easy to push, one hand fold and very light weight.

Disadvantages... It doesn't recline flat, but does recline. Only rated up to a 40lb child (luckly our 4 year old is not there yet) and the front bar is not removable (helpful when child is older).
