Any recommendations for offsite buffet breakfast?

We'll have a car and just can't stomach the idea of paying the Disney buffet breakfast price.

Any breakfast buffets you like that aren't too far from The World?

I have only tried the Golden Corral and I can't say I recommend it.

I now it isn't breakfast, but Sweet Tomatoes is great! We eat there a lot when we are on that side of town.

Not buffet but there is an Ihop and a shoneys right outside of dtd at the crossroads.
Ihop usually has great deals for abut 5 bucks a person.

We've eaten at Golden Corral and Poderosa and never had an issue with either.

We have eaten at Sizzler's in the past. Food was always good and hot. Your basic buffet.
It is right outside DTD. If you come out to the intersection @ Cross Roads, take a left. Go past Olive Garden, It will be on your right.
Not sure if they still do it, but, if you go back to them for a second time, you can bring the first receipt with you and get 10% off you bill. If you go back twice in one day and bring the previous receipt you get either 15 or 20% off.

Most Shoney's have breakfast buffets. I would assume that one does as well.

That said, I would still recommend Golden Corral over Shoney's for the breakfast buffet. And that's still a limited recommendation. They can be hit or miss, depending on each GC. Some are great; some are not-so-great.

do you want a buffet to save time? If not, I'd recommend a sit-down restaurant for breakfast, either Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans's. I like those two better than IHOP.

We don't eat at buffets anymore. A number of years ago though, we had a bfast buffet at Golden Corral and Chef Mickeys during the course of the same vacation.

Golden Corral was hands down the better of the two.

I'm local and I try at least once every couple of months to go to the World Center Marriott for their daily breakfast buffet.
