Any recommendations for digital scales that are consistent and don’t fluctuate?

I’ve been on a weight loss journey and the days I weigh in are important to me so I can monitor myself and stay motivated. I have a digital scale that seems fine, but it has an annoying aspect that if you were to weigh yourself three times in a row, it could possibly give you three different weights, sometimes 2-3 lbs in either direction. Other times if you were to weigh yourself three times in a row it would stay the same (or only alter a negligible amount, which is fine).

I’m tired of seeing a lower weight, getting excited, try it again to be sure and then it’s higher.

I only use the scale on a hard, smooth floor, but I do have to slide it away from the corner of the room each time by about 6-12 inches (there is no place to put it where I can avoid having to do that).

I almost feel like it detects if I stepped onto it too delicately then it shows a lighter weight, or maybe my weight isn’t distributed just perfectly. This might all be in my head though.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a reliable digital scale that isn’t so sensitive to fluctuation? I don’t necessarily need a scale with all the bells and whistles, just something I can trust the weight that it’s showing.

I have a Health o meter one I got from Amazon. It's very consistent, even if I get on it 2 or 3x in a row

There's no bells or whistles and I haven't had to change the battery in the 2 years I've had it.

Model # is HDR743DQ3-41 if you're interested in looking it up

I have one by Taylor I think that I got at Costco. It doesn't seem to do that and I do step on it a few times when I'm shocked by the number, lol!

We couldn't find one that didn't fluctuate (some more than 2-5 pounds). We went out and just bought an old-fashioned physician balance scale. It's always perfect.

This is the one we purchased.
Love your name! My username for most things is Smurfygirl, lol 😜

Thanks for the recommendation, I’d love to have that type of scale but there’s no extra space in our bathroom.

Thanks, I’ll look it up!

I recently got a Vitafit off Amazon and it is very consistent. Less than $15.

Ha! I’m taking the low # in that case. 😜

Seriously, though, I would start with whatever fitness app/tracker you use and back into which scale to buy based on recommendations/compatibility from that.

Thanks!

Actually, it's not a lot of floor space, just about 11 X 14".

I am on my second scale from Greater Goods. The last one lasted over 8 years and was still going, but I wanted one that updated through the app via wifi and not bluetooth.

It's expensive but I really like the app and how my weight and other measurements automatically gets updated. I also like how every person in the house has a different setting so I don't see my DH's weight suddenly in my app when the bluetooth reconnects.
