Any recommendations for car rental at WDW?

Would you make any recommendation on where I should rent at WDW? We are renting a car for one day. Would you get the car from Swan and Dolphin or the car care centre?
How to you get TO the car care centre? I realize for the Swan take any bus to a park or DTD and then the Swan but I have no idea where the Centre is.

Alamo has a free shuttle van that will come and get you. Just make reservations 48 hrs in advance.

First off...the Dolphin has the car rental counter. It is Alamo/National. And you're correct...just head to a park and then take the S/D bus from there. Or go to DHS and boat or walk to S/D. The best way is going to be dependent on what time you want a car.
If you go to the Car Care Center, you can arrange pickup service beforehand. But it does have to be booked at least 24 hrs in advance. Then, they can also bring you back to your resort (or a park) at the end of your rental period. Again, that needs to be booked in advance as well.

They (Alamo at the Car Care Center) told me that I can't arrange to be picked up from my hotel @ CSR to the CCC until the day before, not "at least" 24hrs in advance.

I didn't realize there was a shuttle. That would be perfect. A lot less transport time!

I put that the wrong way....you're right, it is the day before. Thanks for elaborating.

It's not a true shuttle....as noted, you do have to book it the day before.

There are also car rental offices in DTD. For instance, Budget is located at the Doubletree Guest Suites. Other companies are located in other DTD resorts..fairly close to the DTD bus stops.
