Any rechargeable batteries and chargers made in USA?

I'm looking online and eneloops which is what I wanted to buy, charger made in China, batteries made in Japan.

Energizer made in China

Duracell looks like the it says made in China on back of package. Although I know the 9 volt duracell says made in USA

It is so frustrating trying to find things made in America, right? What a bummer. But I can say that we have been using Eneloop for many years and have been very happy with them.

Eneloops are only made in Japan. Pretty much any charger will be made in China. That's one of the reasons I switched back to regular alkaline batteries.

I am holding a "AA" Energizer Rechargeable battery in my hand, and it's made in Japan. The charger, like so many other plastic products, is made in China.

I can't find a source to cite, but I swear I saw a 60 minutes story on this. Environmental laws make it tough to make many products in the U.S.

I am sorry but why does it matter if the charger is made in the USA or not? Does it charge faster if made here?

Buying items that are made in the USA means you're making an effort to employ American workers and reduce our huge trade deficit with foreign nations while supporting our economy.

Most alkaline batteries are still made in the USA. The good rechargables are made in Japan. Like most cheap junk, the batteries made in China are not the highest quality.

Rayovac? They are a Wisconsin based company. Not sure where they are made.
