I am looking for anyone there recently (or currently) who is able to post a pic (or a few) of Aunt Polly's on Tom Sawyer Island??

Thanks for posting! I so wish this would still have been open when we get there, but we are 18 days out.

Loved AP back in the day. It's where I dicovered cold fried chicken.
Prior to that I never even would have considered such a thing. But it was hot as heck and we were starving. It totally hit the spot and it quickly became one of our favs. I remember really looking forward to going back for more on subsequent vacations but much to my dismay……
Anyway I was excited to see it open again, even if they don’t have the cold fried chicken. Hopefully they decide to remain open long term.

I'm reading this and wondering how many others have not eaten cold fried chicken.
It's akin to someone saying that they've never eaten cold pizza (for breakfast or otherwise.)

Cold fried chicken is part of the American culture, in my estimation.
It's like THE staple of family picnics across the nation (or at lesst in the midwest,) as far as I know.

Well, at least your past dining experience at Aunt Polly's Restaurant made you members of the CFCC (Cold Fried Chicken Club.)
;)

Cold fried chicken? You bet!! We had some hot last night and it is sitting in the frig ready for cold consumption!!

Another member of the CFCC!

It was not my first time for CFC, but it definitely hit the spot for me when I had it there on my first family trip when I was 12! My Mom has limited pics from our trip, but one of the ones she does have is of my, my Dad (now gone), and my younger sis, sitting on the porch of Aunt Polly's, eating CFC!

Yep, our family vacations, (which all involved driving 8+ hours in a car) involved cold fried chicken :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 eaten at random picnic tables somewhere along the way, most likely rest areas or scenic stops. Always liked, and still do, CFC!

Or in the parking lot of the theme park on the "tailgate" of a station wagon!! :)

Yes!! Been there with "nearby" amusement parks like Cedar Point, with the seagulls circling overhead just waiting to pounce on any scraps.

Mine, mine, mine. mine. mine. mine...
