Just made an ADR there for our February 9-15 trip and had our pick of times. Not sure if that's a good thing or not! I made all of our other ADRs months ago and was changing a few around. Most places were full at the prime dinner time. We wanted to try something new this trip and decided to add this to the list. We've changed our minds so many times! We have so many favorites, but are trying to branch out. Any help is appreciated!!

We had dinner their once at the end of November & once the middle of December. Both were good experiences as far as food & service. They have delicious fresh fish as well as filet', etc. Lovely wine list.

I try not to eat bread and this is some of the best bread on property IMHO.
Great place to be dining when Wishes is taking place.

By no means cancel this ADR this will be a fantastic meal and dining experience. Not only is the bread good, but the butter, ooh la la. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner there.

Prime time at Narcoossee's might be later than most. Many people want to dine there late to see Wishes and the Electric Water Parade from the balcony. So if prime time to you is 5 or 6pm that's the explanation.

You wont be let down by Narcoossee's. Its my favorite restaurant on property by far. We sit at the bar and have appetizer's quite often, and dinner every few months. The steamed muscles are fantastic!

My DH and I just ate there last month and it was wonderful. The atmosphere is lovely, the service was great. The bread, just like everyone said was wonderful. We tried not to stuff ourselves with it before our meal but it was so good.

My DH had shrimp for an appetizer:

I had crap cake, sorry no picture. It was great and DH enjoyed his shrimp.

We both got surf and turf for our entree:

Out of this world. Our filet replaced our favorite from Le Cellier! It melted in our mouth as did the lobster tail!

This was our anniversary dinner and for dessert our plates came with a "Happy Anniversary" wrote in chocolate. DH got something chocolate, can't remember what. I got the almond crusted cheesecake served with berry compote and vanilla bean whipped cream. Let me tell you, this is the best dessert on property. I'm not a big fan of cheesecake, but this was fabulous.

Narcoosees was by far the best meal we had during our trip. I highly reccommend it to everyone.

Oh, btw....at the end of our meal our server gave us both a glass of champagne to take to the veranda to watch Wishes and toast our anniversary. AND our menus came with "Happy 2nd Anniversary to Mr. & Mrs. Baker" on the top. Little touches that really made our evening.

Took the words right out of my mouth...the mussel appetizer is terrific.

We ate at Narcoossee's Dec 19, 2007. I was somewhat disappointed and it will probably be a long time before I will get my DW to return. The food was good but was not on par with other similarly priced restaurants at WDW (Like Citrico's, Artist's Point, California Grill, or Flying Fish). Our Problem was more with the service.... it was abysmally slow. Mind you, I do not like to be rushed at a restaurant, but this service was ssssslllllooooowwwwww ! I don’t like continually looking at my watch and sitting at an empty table for 30 minutes between salad and entrée. Observing surrounding tables left me feeling this was an overall problem and not just with our table or server. Sorry to be so negative but IMHO, I would rather go to Citrico’s at the Grand Floridian for better food and service at about the same price point.

We were there, OMG, already going on a month now...on 12/8/07. The smells from outside the restaurant were great. After arriving 35 minutes early, we had to wait as they were booked, even though it looked empty as there was nobody in the waiting area for the exception of one couple.:confused3 Anyway, we sat down and the meal took 40 minutes to arrive!!!!! I can understand 10 to 15 minutes tops, but 40 minutes??? That's way too long and with two fussy 3 year olds that were hungry, one word to describe it - awful! With them being fussy, this took the "magic" right out of the experience and then it just became a quest to get the food to the table, eat and leave. When the food finally arrived, it was good, but not fantastic. I read all the reviews and expected to be wowed, but i most definetly was not. The food wasn't horrible, but i've had much better at more than half the price off (of course being from Texas, cooking a steak is something we're taught at birth). I went in with an open mind and learned that we're paying for atmosphere and nice surroundings, with food that is beautifully presented.

The best part of the meal was when we finished and went outside to see Wishes. Our ADR was at 7:45pm and we were there for Wishes. That tells you how long we were there.:sad2:

It really is a beautiful restaurant and i'm sure you'll enjoy it. For us it was something we're glad we tried as now we know not to return there for quite some time or until we're empty nesters; which won't be for at least another 20+ years at the earliest (we have one dd3 but trying for another baby soon:goodvibes ) It's a very romantic place and can only dream of once again returning with a better outcome.

Oh wow, i just noticed you're post ( i usually post without reading others comments) and can't believe how much of a similar opinion we shared on this restaurant. To the OP, :teacher: .

It's my least favorite of all the signature places but it's great to take kids there as it's not very upscale compared to the others and the environment is better suited for young children.

(But the fish is better at Flying Fish.)

We dined there at the end of October and will be going again in April. Wonderful meal, great service...one of our favorites!

Thanks for all of the replies!! Glad to know all opinions. We've eaten at other signature restaurants and want to try something new. So we're up for giving it a shot. Our ADR is for 6:30 and wishes is at 8:00 that night, so I think my girls will really enjoy that. Thanks for the great pictures (my hubby was already eyeing the surf & turf on the menu - wait until I show him those!:rotfl:)!

Thanks again!!

DH and I love Narcosee's and make sure to dine there at least once during our WDW vacations. We usually book an 8pm ADR and enjoy a glass of wine on the veranda during Wishes. Since we usually make a later reservation, we see very few young children there. We love having a long romantic dinner and would probably be upset if we were in and out in an hour or less. Our meal usually last about 2 hrs, and to us, that is one of the best parts about dining there. The food has always been wonderful and beautifully prepared, they have a great wine list and the service has always been top notch.

I will admit, if I had small children, I would probably arrange babysitting or plan to go early ( as is 5pm).

Narcoossee's is our favorite! We always go back. The food is always delicious and we have had great service each time! It is especially nice if you are able to get a window seat.

My favorite is the whole lobster, but the surf n turf is also wonderful! My 12 year old loves it there as well!

Have a great time!

We have dined at Narcoossee's twice now and while it may not be as "fancy" as some of the other signature restaurants, I really enjoy it:cloud9: . If not for the view of MK and Wishes, alone! And the food, ain't bad either. My DD has enjoyed it both times also. She was 7 and 8. We also got the menu with Happy Birthday on it to keep. Here are a few more pix to get you salivating. Enjoy.

Fried Calamari with a pepperoncini relish -Yummo! We also ordered without pepperoncini for our less adventourus family member.

salmon_360.jpg

Wild King Salmon - carrots, cipollini onions, fingerling potatoes, and passion fruit emulsion

We also had the almond crusted cheesecake which I agree is the best dessert, on property, that I've had. My niece, however, likes the one at Kona a little better.

Our view

Just showed DH this thread. He said sounds like we made a good choice. Thanks to everyone for all of their input and especially all those great pics. Makes the anticipation even better! :cool1: I think we will all enjoy this one! My girls will love being able to see out over the lagoon and having a view of the park. And sounds like DH and I will get to experience a great meal. We're counting the days to our trip!!

Thanks so much!
