Any recent experiences with Thrifty?

I've decided last minute to book a rental. I have an email from Thrifty that would make my rental very reasonably priced with the Skip the Line option.
I know there was a thread here in December, but has anyone had a recent experience with Thrifty at MCO?

Last time I was at MCO they no longer had the booths open in the garage and you had to go inside in the regular line for rentals. If things have changed again, I'd love to know. I have the Blue Chip but it hasn't done me any good with the booths not open

How long ago was that? The big selling point, other than the price, was the Skip The Line option

I have Thrifty reservation for July, I would appreciate any info about garage or in terminal check in

I'm heading there next week. I booked Thrifty but if the lines are crazy I will just pay more and head to Alamo where I don't have to wait and it's worth the extra $100

Despite my best efforts I was never able to create a Thirfty account, so I gave up and booked with Hertz

I think it may have been December. I booked and then had to go inside and wait in a line at Thrifty/Dollar despite having a reservation with my Blue Chip number. After that I decided no more and returned to Alamo, which is more expensive but is worth me not having to wait in line.

I rented again in January and March through Alamo

UPDATE: My December post regarding Thrifty

So we just returned from a weekend in Florida. We decided to just see what the terminal desk was like for Dollar/Thrifty and I just looked at it and knew...it would be at least 30 minutes. Nope. We headed to our Alamo desk in the garage where we just got the keys and drove off. Yes it cost me about $80 more but I knew I would have just been irritated waiting in that line.

Thanks Kitty.

Just to confirm. You had registered ahead for the Skip the Line option with Thrifty but you were still going to have to go inside to wait in the "normal" line?

I have upcoming reservations with both Alamo and Thrifty. Thrifty is $80 cheaper. I have the "Skip Option" with Alamo. I have not gone thru the "Skip the Line" option for Thrifty. If it doesn't matter, even with this Thrifty option, I will stick to Alamo and pay a few bucks more.

Thanks in advance.

The last reporting I am aware of is that MCO is no longer an airport where you can skip the line with your Blue Chip number. At one point they were not accepting new members into Blue Chip and I have not seen any posts in the last year that anyone has been able to skip the line. There have also been many reports that Dollar and Thrifty have both been hard pushing upsells, especially for insurance, that are in violation of state laws. Most of the time, you can get a very similar price from at least one of the other onsite rental car companies, and I'd take 8 of the 9 others without thinking about it, Payless is the only one I'm hesitant about, but that's primarily because I haven't ever used them.
