any recent experiences with dollar lock low & go?

i am in the process of planning our may 2010 trip
last time we rented a car we needed a minivan because we were 4 adults and 2 kids in car seats... this time we will just be 2 adults and 2 kids (1 booster one car seat)...

i was wondering if whatever we might get with the lock low & go reservation will be big enough for us... i know it says mid-size or larger, but i was hoping someone might share their experience with what they actually received when picking up at MCO..

Actually, I think you'd be better off watching for a city special in Orlando. The rates are quite good for several different sizes of car.

We were just there mid December and we did the lock low & go and got a Dodge Journey. He first mentioned a town & country, but then changed to the Journey. We usually rent a midsize, and have had Dodge Avenger and Pontiac G6, but times have changed.

A midsize for June, city special, is $127. a week. I think a midsize would probably be just fine for your family. I drive a "midsize" car and it's very comfortable for 4 people and has plenty of room for luggage. We have Dollar Express and last time got a free upgrade with our Orlando Magicard. Very cool. There's just 2 of us, though, so we only booked a compact to begin with.

The last time I used Lock Low and Go they tried to make me take a pick-up truck (claimed it was a mid-size). I refused and was ready to go somewhere else when they relented and gave us a PT Cruiser.

thank you all for your input! i certainly don't think a pick-up would work for us!
i will just avoid that possibility and go with an specific category reservation...
