Any recent experience at AKL Jambo House?

We are staying at AKL Jambo next month and with it being open for only DVC I was wondering how it was and what was open/closed? I checked the DVC trip reports and looks like the last one posted was from April.

We just stayed there in a 2 BR lockoff Standard view from July 3 - July 7. It is very quiet now considering the main hotel wasn't open and only Mara and poolside bar were open for food. My kids missed not being able to eat at Boma but I really liked how quiet it was.

Thanks, That is what we are staying in 2 BR lockoff Standard view. Never stayed on the Jambo side. Looking forward to it being quiet.

We just returned from AKL Jambo (July 18th-21st). The Mara and pool bar were the only food and drink offerings. We really enjoyed the quiet too. There were so many beautiful areas in the main lodge, savanna, and pool area that were empty compared to previous trips. Even though it felt like no one else was in the resort there was always staff available in the main lobby for assistance. There were children's activities at both Jambo and Kidani. Just ask at the front desk for the schedule as it wasn't posted. We did take the internal shuttle to Kidani for food and the gift shop. The pool at Kidani was very crowded compared to Jambo. Have a great trip! Enjoy!

We are finally headed back to AKL Jambo on August 24th, the first time back to WDW since Fall 2019, so excited! Glad to see the Mara is open for quick service. Do they still have flatbread pizza?? Our 5yo son has food allergies and is a very picky eater. He enjoyed the flatbread pizza last trip. And I believe they are back to using the refillable mugs?

So glad to read some recent reports. We also just snagged a Savannah View Studio room at AK Jambo for a quick weekend trip later this month. I was wondering about food offerings there since we plan to spend a lot of time at our resort and aren't visiting any Disney parks. I just need them to bring back APs before I will go to parks again!

We have always loved Kidani and the pool and pool bar area over there, but sounds like that might be crazy crowded and maybe we should just enjoy the pool at Jambo instead.

I'm current sitting on the balcony in the Jambo house looking at the savannah. I can tell you right now today the only thing open in Jambo house is mara for breakfast and dinner and Maji pool bar for lunch. Very limited. I saw boma was opening this Friday as well.

Thanks for the update...sounds like we'll be arriving at a very busy time potentially. We will be there the last weekend in August so after things are scheduled to reopen. Contemplating snagging a Boma reservation tomorrow if I can just in case though.
