Thanks for all the great pictures, loved to see this great Hotel, can't wait to go in may!!:D

lillykat loved your pics:)
What settings did you use for your shots?(interiors)Or did you lighten them on photoshop or other enhancing. Our AKL interior shots always come out very subpar:( Thanks.

I just have a regular camera that I bought a few years ago for a trip to Italy. It has worked well - my pictures from my trip to China and to Germany also came out really good. The nice thing about the camera is that it is small and can fit easily into a small purse of pocket of a jacket or coat.
No I actually didin't need to fix up the pictures at all - that was how they came out. I was concerned while I was there that since it was so dark and the back wall is just windows that the pics would be to dark or washed out to see.
It also took great pics at the park that I also have online as well.

Oh, I loved the photos. Thanks for posting them. I wish I were there right now.

When did you go to the AKL, how was the weater, and how were the crowds ,at the hotel and pool area wnen you went? I been hearing lots of reports of the hotel being way to crowed packed, with non guests! Hope you had a great trip!!
Thanks for the pictures!!

Ok we were there 1/5-1/12/02. We had a blast!!!!! It was crowded the day we arrived (but not too crowded) because the marathon was the next day. We went straight to the resort from the airport and checked in. They wished us a belated merry christmas and told us they had a christmas present for us - we were upgraded to a savannah room. (We were of those displaced from POR last year and paid an addional 200 for 7 nights/8 days- to upgrade to the AKL) So when we got upgraded from the standard view we were excited. They told us that as many as 500 people would be checking out of the hotel between sunday and monday after the marathon and things would quiet down. Well overall I have to say really we didn't find it crowded in the first place. We drove over to MK and rode SplM before it was closed for rehab - and there was only a 15 min wait at 1 pm).
NO we did not feel that there were a lot of non AKL people walking around. The hotel was quiet and beautiful. The restaurants were a little busy at times but we had a ps for boma and were sat right away ( I think those waiting did not have a ps.) I don't think the parks were very crowded either so that might have made a difference. We were to the MK 2 mornings and went on EVERY ride (and many twice) AND had lunch before 1 pm.
The weather: Hmmm. It was a mix. Over the 8 days we were there I would say 3 days in the mid 70's, 3 days in the upper 60's, 1 day in the low 60's, and 1 day in the 50's. Nights on the other hand were pretty standard. We had ONE EXTREMELY COLD night. The CM's were joking about it being warmer in Anchorage, Alaska than in Orlando. I think it was down in the 20's (we are from NY) and we were freezing in our winter coats, long sleeve shirts, sweaters, jeans, scarfs, and DFH had to buy gloves because his hands got cold. The other nights I would say the temperture ranged from low 50's - to the upper 30's. Most nights a few layers (longsleeve shirt, sweatshirt, light jacket and gloves were sufficient. Here are some pics so you can see how we dressed. (oh and we got a 20 minute swim - but it was rather cold for it). As far as rain - maybe 1 hour the first full day we were there - and then another short shower later that day - but not again for the whole trip.
