Any reason we should go on Stitch?

Just don't say, "Oh, it sucked, why wasn't I warned?" Because you were. :)

Best response all day. My 13-year old daughter has read enough things on the teen board that she refuses to try it, but husband and 9-year old daughter love Stitch (and daddy would do it to keep younger daughter happy). I'll probably try it so I can join the list of haters or secretly like it.

There's also the "Mission Space" issue...but that's for another post!

:thumbsup2 I got to post after Webmaster John... Ohhh la la

Now about Stitch...yep you should do it once, then kick your husband for making you do it :rotfl:

The first time I saw it--it was just to see the new cool ride after Alien Encounter--which I did like. The second and last time was so that my Mom and Dad could see it in 2008---Mom gagged so bad during the burp, I laughed for two days...priceless. So I think a deep stupid dark part of me likes it for that one reason alone. Will not go back

Oh my gosh, I didn't see John's post! And now he's posted TWICE!! OMG!! I've seen Kathy's and Kevin's posts before, I didn't recognize John's...and it was early...and it was just too much excitement for me. Now I'll probably be cursed by not being able to download podcasts and my trip will be totally ruined without John's "genius" recommendations for our trip!!

Extra worship for John :worship::worship:, and I promise to be on your side on any disagreements, even with Teresa (who I usually think is right about most things...). Oops, blew it again.

And I think my post has been totally highjacked and probably won't make the next "Disboards" show. Crap.

Have a great week!! And I'm still a geek. And my teenage daughter is totally embarrassed...she won't be able to show her face on the teenboards again (I'm forbidden from revealing her name...)

We've been to WDW's Magic Kingdom three times, and saw Alien Encounter once & Stitch twice. We enjoyed it, and will see it again the next time we go to WDW.

I'd recommend trying it out and seeing for yourself whether you like it or not, and not just rely on other people's opinions. :)

The only reason I can see to try it is if you are a serious, die-hard Stitch fan.

I've done it once and WILL NEVER do it again! It was a waste of my time and didn't help that I got squirted in the eye by Stitch! I love Stitch but not his experience! I'd rather have a bikini wax!

Its there so you might as well do it. What can it hurt. Its in the A/C, and its something you havent done before. Everyones tastes are different, so you may end up liking it. You never know. Me... Its ok and something to do. Try it when its raining outside. Get yourself out of the afternoon showers.:cool2:

Every entity in WDW is a personal experience. If you believed everything you read on the boards, every attraction is the best AND the worst, and every restaurant is a must eat at and the worst swill on earth.

Reviews and popular opinions are just that, opinions. While they may help in you making an informed decision, in the end it's your choice.

Personally I didn't mind Stitch, but because it scared the heck out of my kids, I wouldn't do it again.

I say there is always a good reason to go on any attraction in WDW at least once. They are all done to very high standards.
After you have experienced, you may decide you don't want a repeat. But you need to know for yourself!

This is what I think. I hate the attraction myself but you should try it and determine that for yourself.

G and I are going later this month. It will be his first time to WDW. He knows Stitch is not my favorite attraction, but I'm not going to prevent him from going on it. If he thinks he wants to experience it, I'll oblige. If not, no big deal. He is however, like some of the previous posters a big Stitch fan, so I can imagine walking around the Magic Kingdom smelling like chili dog for a bit....:confused3

Personally, I loved Alien Encounter, but then again I also love Mission Space, Tower of Terror, and swimming with the sharks in the Seas at Epcot. I don't hate Stitch's Great Escape, but it's just kind of dull. There's no pacing to the storyline - it's just a series of stuff that happens, and then it's over. No beauty, no joy, no music, no tension, and little plot. You do get to rest your feet for 8 minutes or so, which can be a blessing, but only if you're willing to suffer a smelly belch to the face. All in all, I'd give it 4 or 5 points on a 10 point scale.

I've tried to be objective here, but I suspect that my attitude is skewed by nostalgia. It's not uncommon for people to speak harshly of any change made to an attraction, and this particular attraction is now in its fourth incarnation.

I've gone on that ride when it was "Mission to the Moon", then "Mission to Mars", then "Alien Encounters", and now as "Snitch's Great Escape".

My last time a woman (total stranger mind you) grabbed my leg and screamed at the end of the "ride". It was hysterical. She apologized profusely as we were exiting.

Would I go on it again, maybe not, but I am always happy that I've tried the rides at least once. Some rides are great to go on when you approach it with a childlike innocence.

Expect nothing.

Experience everything.

Be pleasantly surprised. :thumbsup2

You'd have my sympathy if you suffer the chili dog breath. :crazy2:

I think it is kinda cute. I love stitch though and I actually really like the pre show. It is not a must do, but if there are no lines and we're over that way we'll do it. It might be a little outdated as far as technology goes....these types or rides were more popular maybe 10 yrs ago. But I also feel Buzz lightyear is outdated and I think that is still cute.
I agree with try it once...if you don't like it, you don't have to do it again. i wouldn't wait in a line for it though.

I'm a huge Stitch fan....I've done it and thought it was cute....No, it's not a must do for me, but my girls like it, so when we have the time, we go in. If you have the time, then do it...then you will know for yourself.

I'm having the same decision with the Enchanted Tiki Room...I've never done it, but am seriously considering it on my next trip...just because I never have.

While I don't hate Stitch, it is not my favorite either. We see Stitch at least twice each visit because my DD wants to and thats alright with me...

(Figment @ EPCOt is the ride I can't stand. I still go on it because it's air conditioned, but I have my ipod cranked up with my eyes closed.)

You should go on the the ride and form your own opinion and then let us know what you think of the ride/attraction.

pro: short line, and a/c and well it is stitch!
con: dark, annoying, and the chili dog burp!!

my kids talked about the nasuating effect of the chili dog burp for days, shoot my oldest boy still shudders when he thinks about it!! lol
but hey, if you are there and it's hot and well there's no line, you can join the club!! :thumbsup2
I think they should sell shirts that say "I've survived the Stitch Chili Dog Burp"!:lmao:

I have a confession to make...I am an adult with no kids and I like Stitch's Great Escape. Haha. My husband and I think it's funny. It definitely isn't my favorite attraction, but we always hit it at least once and get a laugh. Sometimes I cover my nose during the burp.
