We have a brand new son-in-law who will be making his first trip to WDW next May (with us, of course!) :goodvibes
He's a real sports fanatic. We plan to have a meal at ESPN, but is there any reason to visit Wide World of Sports unless there is a specific event going on that we want to see? Is it worth a visit just to wander around, or perhaps have a meal (is there even a restaurant?)
Since we want him to share our enthusiasm for WDW, we want to make this the best for him that we can. After all, we want him to be excited about taking our future grandchildren some day !

There is a restaurant (All Star Cafe) but in my opinion there is no reason to go and wander. We've only been there to pick up our marathon credentials, we'd never dream of going there for any other reason.

Unless you're there during Spring Training for Baseball or training camp for Football, the only thing that seems to go on there are tournaments for kid's sports leagues.
