Any reason not to switch old paper tix to RFID ones? Pros/cons

I am looking at the hodge podge collection of tix I have and wondering what to do....

Obviously the tix where I am going to use them this trip I am going to change them into RFID since I will need to do that, but wondering what to do with the rest...

As for the other tix, if I turn in a 10 day, brand new park hopper and don't want to use it this trip will it have to be assigned to a specific person? Right now, I am not sure who I want to use it for, depends on who runs out of days the quickest and since it has never been used figure it is completely flexible at this point. Should I trade it in or keep it until later?

Are these RFID tix easier to trace if they get misplaced, is that the big benefit or are there any other points I am missing?

Also, I have a part used ticket for my mother in law who is NOT coming this trip, should I trade it for her for future use or will she need to be there to change it, she has a finger scan on hers. Can they transfer her finger scan to this tix or is there something else they need to do to link it as hers.

I just see what a pain it is to not be able to get FP so figure need to get them transferred over but not sure if I am missing something.

Any thoughts?

Any thoughts?

No reason to not replace old tickets with current RFID tickets.

Unless it's an AP, all guests need not be present to change to the new RFID cards.

General MYW tickets are not "assigned" to anyone in particular when they are changed to RFID.

We switched ours last summer at Guest Relations inside Epcot. It was quick and painless. I had unused tickets, old park hoppers with just water park visits left, some with park days. The ones which had been previously assigned to someone, I wrote the name on the back so I could keep them straight. I can't see any cons, it will make for quicker park entry on future visits.

You kinda have to change them. They are now set up for the RFID, you can get in with the old strip tickets but it will not be a happy event. Any guest services location can do it for you. The one in DTD did ours and it went real fast and they were actually accurate with what was left on the old tickets.

When you change the old tickets to RFID ones, the finger print scan does not transfer - you can then let anyone use them that you want. A big plus to changing to RFID.
