Any RCI owners out there?

My stepmother is letting us use her RCI for an exchange in March 2011.
I am on the website, but having trouble. She says she has 6 weeks banked in from 3 different 2-bedroom timeshares, so that should be plenty of "trading power". Can someone please give me a quick tutorial.

The easiest thing to do is to follow RCI's own tutorial. You may need to be logged into her account to see this link, but maybe not:

I believe with their new system, you are assigned a point value for each deposit and they may be combined to search for trades that are valued at higher points.

If she's offering you 1 week, then just search with the week she's offering. If she's allowing you to combine points from multiple trades, you should be able to get wherever you want in Orlando.

Just be aware that not all resorts are available all the time, even if they are RCI resorts. DVC resorts do list on RCI, sort of. If one ever gets posted on there, it is generally snapped up in about 6.5 nanoseconds. Actually, the chance of it actually getting posted is probably closer to nil; tons of people have saved searches for them, and the deposit will match to a search before it is "released" for the browsers.

There are a ton of good weeks available at decent resorts in the Orlando area, so widen your search a bit.

Also, you can check the TP (trading power) of any resort you want to get into through the TP calculator on RCI. Compare that to the TP listed for the weeks she has on deposit to see if you have enough to cover it. You may need to combine a couple of weeks to get enough power, but that may not be what your DSM had in mind.

Note that the above assumes that your DSM is in RCI Weeks (you mention she deposited weeks). If she is on RCI Points, things work a little differently.
