HI,

I am considering buying the annual pass for Universal. We will be in Orlando for a few weeks , in August, and I think being able to come and go, especially in that heat , the pass should be worth it.

Has anyone heard of a promo code for the annual pass? I was thinking of getting one regular annual pass for my daughter and I think its the Power Pass for me. I can get free self parking, so if I go to the park 4 or 5 times the extra money paid for this pass would be a wash.

iF anyone has a promo code or knows who might sell the annual pass at a lower price than the Universal Site, please let me know.

My boyfriend has an AMerican Express card, and I know they always have offers for regular tickets, but you seem to have to bring the card with you, and he isnt coming with me, and wont give me the ticket.

Any help appreciated.
thanks,

i have not heard of any promo codes for discounted preferred or premier passes in some years.

i think the last time i was aware of the discounted ones was the Bealls bogo back in about 2007? 8?.

if a person renews their preferred or premier passes, they do receive a discount on it.

sorry, not much help.

I haven't heard of anything within the last year and half (that's the time frame I've been considering them).

We're buying passed for our trip this summer and thought about purchasing them for our trip last Sept (we had the $99 tickets from winter 2009/2010 so went ahead and used those instead).

Most Universal tickets can be upgraded to annual passes once you arrive.

The only time I've seen any discounts off annual passes is for FL residents only...nothing for non-residents. You may want to check with AAA in your area to see anything is available. You won't find anything in FL for non-residents.

I just found out about the Wendy's promo code for Florida and Georgia residents. It saves $25.00 on an annual pass. My husband works for the state of Georgia, and he can also get a discount on Universal's annual passes.

Just a reminder....

Codes cannot be posted on the DIS unless they are made public and are available to everyone. Codes that are being offered through a business like Wendy's cannot be posted since you have to purchase something to get the code.

If you wish to share the code you will need to do so via PM but any posts regarding the sharing of inappropriate codes will be deleted.

You don't have to agree with the rule but there it is.

Yes, you had to buy a meal (I think) and get a large drink and the code came on the cup. It said it was for a limited time or limited quantity (can't remember which). Looks like they were promoting Mardi Gras.

Thank you for your replies. I will do an internet search and see if anything comes up for the major chains offering discounts.

I can get a 7 day pass for $187 , and buy a power pass for $189 and go as many times as I want. Was thinking of buying one Premier Pass so we get free parking, but need to check our schedules to see if we will be going enough times to rationalize the extra money for the pass, as it is $250.

I have AAA , so I do not need the merchandise discounts, AAA gives me those discounts. THe only thing the PRemier Pass would give me is the free parking.

I need to post another thread because I am confused about when the annual pass is activated.

I would go with the Preferred AP...not the Premier. The Preferred offers free parking and is cheaper than the Premier and the renewal is a lot less than the Premier. The annual pass is good from activation at the gates...not purchase date. So if you purchase the AP online today but are not going to the parks until June, your clock would start ticking in June.

Thank You Metro West! Good to know if I buy my annual pass now and go in the summer it wont be activated until I go!

I think your idea of the preferred pass is a good way to go. I think I will buy my daughter the power pass and myself the preferred, so we get the free parking.

thanks again!

Dee
