I just made a PS for a late breakfast at Kona Cafe in early June. Our PS is for 11 and we are thinking of checking with the Poly to see if we can pool hop for that afternoon.

Has anyone ever been turned away during non restricted times?

We have pool hopped to the Poly before with no problems.
Of course you know that the time of year and how busy things are will be a factor.
Good luck

We stayed at Poly the week after Easter and were never asked to see our room card. The pool was pretty full and we only found one chair next to the trash can. Since our room was not ready we did have a big bag with our traveling clothes in after we changed into our swim suits. If they did not ask us during Easter Week, you probably will not have a problem.

Of course getting into the parking lot may be the problem. They are pretty tough.

Getting into the parking lot will not be a problem....you are not "bending rules" or doing anything wrong.
You are utilizing a documented benefit of the DVC membership.
Bring your DVC ID card and let the guard know of your intentions and have fun at the pool!!

I thought the DVC ID card wasnt enough and we actually need the room key w/DVC member marked on it? and we need to be staying on pts, not on cash?

We're planning on the Poly pool after brkfst at Kona when we're there in Aug.

always call the resort before hand.

if they say come - then write person's name down - so if you have problems you can refer to this person.

if they say sorry we are full and no outsiders can use the pool. then don't try it.

although I am sure on one of your days you can definitely get to swim at the Polyn.

Thanks everyone.

We aren't doing water parks this time and my youngest DD has always wanted to try the Poly pool so this is going to be the perfect time. We always go the first week or so of June and there have never been any restrictions yet..so I am hoping thier won't be this time.

I really just want to eat a nice relaxing breakfast at Kona Cafe and then chill out by the Volcano pool before heading back to VWL, showering and getting ready for EMH night at the MK.

Well-getting IN to the parking lot may not be a problem, but staying there longer than 3 hours might be. When went to Pool hop at the Poly, it occurred to us that we could be there longer than the 3-hour pass allowed. We mentioned this to the security CM at the gate--he seemed not to have ever heard of "pool hopping", then just laughed at us and handed us the usual 3-hour pass.
