Any Problems Getting Ressies @ 7 month window?

If you call right at the beginning of the 7 month window for your non-home resort, is it generally easy to get your desired time/location or should we expect to get wait listed?

We have finally made the decision to buy and now just need to decide between Disney directly (love the new referral promo!) or resale. I would like to understand how much of a factor our “home” should be.

your desired time - most of the time yes - you desired location - well if that is OKW or SSR then yes. if you want BCV, BWV during food & wine festavial - generally no. or VWL during Dec - again no.

if you wait too long for Dec you won't get anything. Of course by next year at least part of the AKL DVC will be open that should help with Dec.

1) Ranges from easy to near impossible.
2) All depends upon resort and date.
3) The best rule is Buy Where You Want To Stay!
4) Now you can schedule at 11-months.

NOTE: Many people bought what was available or what was available at a cheap price, thinking they can just go to any other resort at the 7-month window. Many people have been sorely disappointed. Remember, "guides" are commissioned salespeople and do stretch your ability to get elsewhere at the 7-month window.
