Hope someone can answer.
Has anyone had problems with Disney pins in their carry-on luggage. (potential weapon?)
My sister had to give up her knitting needles. She was not a happy camper.
Thanks in advance.

I've never had an issue. Only once have I had more than 10. I try to avoid it if possible but have forgotten to pack them in my luggage more than once.

It was not a problem, but they opened my carry on bag to take out my pin carrying case. Now, I take it out of the bag and tell them what it is.

I've carried pins on no problem, heck even carried race medals on, the DL half (diamond one) looked like a spear never a problem.

We often only travel in carry-ons only and always buy pins to bring home and have never had a problem (we only collect, don't trade so don't travel with our entire collection).

I would have to say that Disney pins are a completely different thing than knitting needles tho which definitely could be used as an improvised weapon...that is not surprising to have them taken away.
