Any *positive* reviews of the new bread products?

I know there's a ton of complaints, but a lot of them sound like they're from people who don't care for wheat bread in the first place. Are there any wheat fans who've tried the new breads and can comment on the taste/quality?

I've posted on a few of those threads. I routinely eat whole wheat bread. If more than 10% of those buns are whole wheat, I'll eat my mickey ears. They are as soft, squishy, tasteless, and substanceless as I remember the all-white versions being.

I'm not sure if that's a positive review or not, but it's a vote for "not much of a change at all, really".

We went in April and did NOT notice a thing. Every bun was exacly like the buns we had in 2005.. Now I am wondering if we don't have a good taste pallete??:lmao: :lmao: No seriously there was no difference for us..

We ate at the following:

Cosmic Rays
50's Primetime (chicken sandwich, stacked sandwich, and caesar salad with croutons??
Garden Grill
Rainforest Cafe (I know not really Disney)
Cosmic Rays again.... definetely had burgers and never noticed a thing!

On a positive note, reports of seagulls swiping bread from park guests are down 80% as of late..... :rotfl2:

Oh - that could be so true!!!!!!! :lmao:  :lmao: :rotfl2:

I don't eat wheat anything. I hate it. BUT - when my husband, the burger and hot dog lover who will eat those if they were encased in cardboard, says that he will never eat another Disney hot dog again, well, there is something wrong with this picture.

We were there in Feb this year and I didn't notice anything different. We ate several burgers but no hot dogs.

I have a question: are the BUNS WHOLE wheat or just wheat? According to my health teacher wheat buns are equal to or worse than white . He says only whole wheat buns are consider better for you of the 3 choices (white, wheat, whole wheat).. but I still think the white buns are better tasteing and I would rather have them while on Vacation. I eat enough Whole wheat bread at home ... thanks

I'd be surprised if the bread is 100% whole grain - it's very expensive and doesn't have a great shelf life. Which is why I asked - I'm sure we're talking supermarket grade 'whole grain' here, so I'm surprised so many people don't like them. They're not a far throw from the uber-white breads so many people like.

I just got back from the world yesterday. Sorry, I can't remember which CS or which park, but I happened to notice a waitress holding on to two packages of hot dog rolls and remembering these threads, I took a look at them.
They say "Grain" Hot Dog Rolls. Not 100% Whole Grain, or 100% Whole Wheat or any of the good stuff people might be looking for. I guess someone would need to swipe a wrapper for more info.
