We were planning on taking our 4 year old Nemo addict on the glass bottom boat excursion but haven't seen any positive reports. Has anyone had a good experience on the glass bottom boat? Were you in Nassua or CC?
Thanks for your responses in advance.

I too have a 4 and 2 year old whom wants to see Nemo. I have only heard negatives. A positive expereince would be great. Are there any? If so, excurision to be taken Nassau or Castaway Cay.

Thanks

we did the one at freeport and a positive would be no one drowned :sad2: It was fun to do but the seas were a little rough there. Cant help much with the Nassua one!

We did the glass bottom boat tour at Castaway Cay. While my DH and I were less than impressed, our DD7 loved it.

Bumping!

Would like more opinions on the subject as my kids are not big swimmers and this would be a "dry" way to snorkel for them.

Purchase your kids some snorkelling equipment and teach them to snorkel in a pool before the trip.

DW was so opposed to snorkelling that our 1st cruise we did the glass bottom boat. But we were both so disappointed with it that she agreed to this idea so that we could go snorkelling on our 2nd cruise.

We started by going to a dive shop to purchase just a mask and snorkel. DW was worried about getting a lung full of water, so we purchased her a Dry Snorkel. We then spent a few sessions in my sisters backyard swimming pool to get use to the equipment. BTW, the Dry snorkel really does work. She's never had a problem with it.

[Edit]
Upon further review, I noticed that the the dry snorkel comes in a child's size too.

(P.S. I don't know anything about the retailer in the above links. It's just the first web site that came up when I googled "dry snorkel").
