I know this is off subject, but I'll be at WDW during the competition with my 11yr old niece. I think she might like to see some of the cheerleading contest. Can non-competitors view the contest or is it all sold out to contestants and parents? Is there a website somewhere that would have times etc on it?

The times are not available yet. The invitationals are Tues and Wed (12/9 and 12/10). The national tournament is 12/11 and 12/12. The tickets are fairly reasonable. I was surprised. We seem to pay a fortune for our state and regional tournaments. I doubt it will sell out. From the info we have, it seems you can buy the tickets there.

Our deal is identical to yours, laurieny--must be the standard Pop Warner package. The trouble is with the park hoppers. We are so heavily scheduled for our five days that we will only be able to use maybe 2-1/2 days of a 4 day hopper--and we were told that these hoppers EXPIRE at the end of December!!!!!! This is all so confusing...the airfare is kind of high, too, but it seems that if your cheerleader is to compete, she must be with the package. Parents can go somewhere else, but that's not practical with my DD. She wants Mom and Sis right there in the All Stars! I am thinking of adding a day or two at the end of the official PW trip, but can't find reasonable airfare at the moment...will keep looking.

I was able to get some great air fares on Monday nite. But most of us did so now the prices are much higher. I would prefer staying at the Dolphin. i have tons of SPG points. We may do the last 2 days there. What team is your daughter on? I wish her the best!

I did manage to find decent airfare by adding on an extra night--we are now going home Tuesday instead of Monday. Getting out of town was fine, it was getting back home that was raising the fare. Everybody wants to go home at once...so I figured...how about a night at the Contemporary to wind down...and use up those extra expiring-at-the-end-of-December park hopper passes. So that is what I did, and with the postcard code at the CR I was able to take the money I saved on airfare and apply it to the extra night and just about broke even. I really can't wait! The excitement of the competition and then a quieter place...we have always wanted to stay at the CR and even a night will be great. GOOD LUCK AT NATIONALS
