We are planning a trip with another family to the Poly and dh thought they might be uncomfortable in the volcano pool slide. TBH, I haven't ever gone down it, but now am curious--any Pooh-sized folks out there who have done it? Was it tight at all, or did you hit the bottom of the pool at the end? Would you do it again? ;) Thanks!

Not exactly Pooh sized here, but did go down the Volcano Pool slide this past Oct. I was able to displace enough water running down the slide that it burned. I would be careful!

I'm pooh size and I'll not do it again. Not really anything to do with pooh size but I thought(when I first started down) what would happen if I got stuck!!!!!!!!! The ride took my breath away and I went down to the bottom at the end and thought I had died!!!!!! Been there, done that and want ever do it again. Not even at Tinker Bell's size.

Well, my DH is 6'2" and 250+ lbs., not Pooh-sized but not a small man, and he goes down the slide all the time. Worst part for us is waiting in line when we're wet and the temps are 70 or less!

I know what you mean about the temps, it seems like it is always cold when we are there--and that is exactly why I have been there so many times and have yet to go down the slide! Dd doesn't mind it, and dh will tolerate it, but not me! ;)

Not at the Poly, but I went down the Redwood slide at the Grand Californian a couple of years ago when I was Pooh, Pooh, and more Pooh sized. I scared the lifeguard, frightened 8 small children out of the pool, displaced enough water to irrigate Morocco, and went back for more!

:rotfl2: That was hilarious!

Not sure just how big Pooh size is but 6'4 and about 270 here and I love it ! Ahhh the joys of being a 32 year old kid !

My DH did it and while he didn't get stuck, he FLEW down that slide. That was enough for him to say "never again". Now me on the other hand, I've had 3 kids so I'm happy with the speed it gives me

You have no worries. I'm 6ft and 325lbs and yes I know I'm overweight and I'm working on it. There is plenty of room in the slide and just keep your mouth closed and your nose plugged before you hit the bottom of the slide because you will make some waves. You should of seen the waves I was making comming out of the tube! LOL! My dad was teasing me about it all day after he saw the amount of water I was displacing comming out of the tube at full speed. Even I was laughing at myself. :rotfl: Have a great time and I'll be there in late April myself.

Well I'm 27 years old, 5ft 3 ins and about a US dress size 12, I found it small and claustrophobic although i did get down without injury. To be honest the rest of the Poly was so great we didn't really spend much time near the slide.

Ok i will only admit that I'm pooh size here, 5'3 and about 200 lbs and I love the Poly slide and I did go down with no problems. We are returning to the Poly this July and I will be going down it again.

I am very pooh sized her (5'2" and ...well a lady never tells her true weight!)....

I went down the Poly slide once and only once. It had nothing to do with the slide's size....you will not get stuck...plenty of room. I was not prepared for how FAST this slide is....I bumped elbows and knees enough to not want to do it again...no problem on the end of the slide either. Again, I had problems with speed and turns (okay it may be that I am just not very coordinated!! :teeth: )

I'm not pooh sized but have been down the slide a couple times. I seem to freak out because I'm so closed in. I never experienced this at the WL slide but maybe because that one is so short. The Poly one seems to go on and on! I though I would never get out of there, especially through that dark portion.
