Ok, so the other day, we're in the basement, and the little safety bubble diaphram thing over the hot water heater (nice technical term, huh?) was leaking. Had plumber come out and replace it, then he made the water heaters (we have 2) at the same temp...they apparently weren't. That was Friday. Sat, and Sun, water got to warm, not hot at all. They came back today, turned both up a little and water was suddenly hotter, but he said that it wasnt turned up long enough to make a difference, yet somehow it did. So then tonite, give DDs a bath...water got to barely warm for them. They're gonna think I'm nuts if I call them back, and no one seems to know whats wrong, but DH & I think it has to be broken somehow cuz water still is not as hot as before the original leak. Any ideas?
). Is there any way that it is actually leaking somewhere? How old is it? Our old area had hard water, and a hot water heater lasted like 3-4 years max. as a result. They can go before you'd expect them to in certain circumstances.
