any plans for a Beach Club villas renovation?

It's not that old. OKW was just renovated and it is nearly 20 years old. VWL is older than BCV and it hasn't been renovated yet.

They have done soft renovations replacing carpet, fabrics, etc., but they all look the same.

Have you been to see them? We were in a dedicated 2 bedroom w2qs in June, and everything worked and looked just fine.

I was in a studio there in April, and that was good, too.

thanks for the replies! No, we have not seen them. We have been to the resort a bunch of times but have not stayed in the villas.

We bought in and had a planned grand gathering at BWV in winter '04 when a spate of negative BWV reviews came out. There was nothing we could do, but go on with our plans. The 5 villas we had, 1 two bedroom & 4 studios were as fine as we ever hoped for.

There are problems reported in each resort, and some here have legitimate complaints, but overall our BCV experiences have been very satisfactory. I think, but am not sure that the rugs in the halls were replaced not too long ago.

The only thing I have ever noticed at the BCV was dirty carpets. However, given the light coloring of the carpet, it is no surprise that the dirt is more noticeable. However, with that said, I also have seen them shampooing the carpet in one place or another every single time we've stayed there. Other than that, we LOVE the BCV and would have bought there if we could have done so directly through DVD when we bought in, but the resort was sold out and at the time resales were going faster than they were popping up.

I think it may be close to 3 years now (how time flies!) but the carpet and all the softgoods were replaced somewhere around then. It's around the time they also got the flat screen TV's in the rooms.

We just got back from a studio at BCV..outside of minor problems, most which we corrected...it was just fine...love the pool...which is why we bought there.

Just was down there 2 weeks ago and the studio was in great shape. No complaints at ALL!

I would think VWL is over due. I know they are redoing all the rooms in the Lodge maybe they will do the Villas soon.
