I am looking to see if anyone has any pictures of the boats that you tender into Grand Cayman with.
Am I correct...that on the the seven night western that is the only port we tender to?
Thanks in advance

Here is a picture of cruiser returning on the last tender of the day as the Magic is starting to leave GC.

thanks so much...now if I could find a picture of one a little farther away...
so who has been on a western lately?
Am I correct that you only tender to Grand Cayman?

On the Western, Grand Cayman is the only port you will have to tender into. On the Eastern, once and a while you will have to tender in St Thomas depending on the number of ships in port. Please see below for another pic.

The tenders are seriously bigger than they appear in these pictures. They hold like 300 people each! Remember that in the photos they are by the HUGE Disney Magic!

Those tender boats look a lot bigger than I had expected. When we cruised with NCL in May, we had to tender at one port and they used the life boats for tenders.

There are several tenders assigned to each ship, so the wait for a tender is rarely very long.
They are larger then you might think and easily carry 200 or 300 folks at a time.
Here are two different types that we saw in July. The first boat was tendering for the Magic and the second was working a Carnival ship.

The ships anchor as close to the main pier as possible, so once the tender is full, the ride into George Town is only about 10 minuets
(OK, “15sh” if you add the time it takes to tie her up and debark everyone).
This picture should give you an idea of the distance to be traveled.

This is the best picture I have seen, thank you so much for this! :thumbsup2

We were just in Grand Cayman last week. The length of the ride depends upon which anchorage the ship gets. We were very close and it was maybe four minutes of actual motoring time. Do you have a concern?

Here is a webcam picture of the Magic anchored off of Grand Cayman last Tuesday to give you an idea of the distance that the tenders have to go. It takes 5 to 10 minutes max.
