Does anyone have pictures of the Disney Princess characters in their winter costumes? My 3yrs old granddaughter wants to wear her Cinderella costume on Christmas Day and I would like her to wear something warm underneath or over the top. But she thinks princesses do not do that.

Think Belle in her Holiday DVD story..... I think she wore a wrap around her shoulders trimmed in fur, lol.

If it was cold, you could consider her wearing a matching in color (or white) under armour long sleeve shirt, they are very warm..... they come in tights (or whatever you call it, like long johns) too.

When we went to Princess Fantasy Faire in October, it was about 63 degrees out and Cinderella was wearing a jacket. I don't know if it's her official "winter outfit" or not, but she certainly had a long-sleeve coat on. Hope it helps persuade her daughter to bundle up! Also, Tinkerbell had on her "winter clothes" the same day. I don't have a picture handy, but she had on leggings under her dress, a little caplet thing over her shoulders and a visor. The detail was amazing--they truly looked like they had been made out of giant leaves. Super cute!

Okay, well I don't think the picture is working. PM me and I'll send you a copy if no one else posts!

Cold weather:
Jasmine, Mulan, and Alice have heavy capes. Ariel adds long sleeves. Belle wares a matching wrap. Cinderella has a high neck dress with long sleeves, Aurora always has long sleeves. I have not seen Aurora or Tiania in a winter outfit.

The princess dresses are actually pretty heavy, with undergarments, and are too warm in the summer for them to stay out in the sun for very long.

I have taken a closer look at Winter Cinderella.... Notice that the top of the dress covers the regular dress. The sleeves are puffy to clear the normal sleeves, and it has a fitted high waist. Very clever dressmaking.

I think Disneyland 1951 covered all the rest, but Tiana has a cape for winter. Actually, almost every time I've seen her, she's been wearing it. (If you need a better picture let me know; I am lazy!)

The pictures you all posted are wonderful! Thank you so much. I am certain my granddaughter will see these pictures and feel she too can wear something to keep her warm and still be a "princess"

What great photos! I love the winter looks!

My daughter has a silver sweater that I'll be bringing again on this trip. She still gets to feel like a princess, but she has to cover up and stay warm. We also bring tights, the warmer the better, and a hat/gloves/scarf set (hers is Tinkerbell). I've heard ear muffs are a great choice and there are lots of cute ones out there. My mom took my kids and let them pick cute animals. Hope they'll wear them.

I find less resistance if I provide shiny or glittery things to wear over/under.
