I suppose this fits on the budget board since Philosophy's prices aren't really within my budget! LOL....Anyway, just wondering if anyone uses and loves their products as I am interested in trying some. I have sensitive, oily/acne prone skin and am thinking about starting with the original Purity cleanser. Can anyone give me any reviews or recommendations??:)

I LOVE the Microdelivery exfoliating wash!!! The exfoliating "beads" leave your skin feeling smooth and fresh!!! I also like purity foaming daily cleanser. Great for removing eye and regular makeup. I use the Supernatural poreless flawless tinted spf. This is great for evening out skin tone in a whipped lotion texture.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Philosophy!!! My favorites are the shower gels & the perfumes/lotions!!! I have bad acne that is why I don't use the skin care...my mom does and loves it!! The best place to buy it is QVC. They have the best prices. A couple of times a year they have Today's Special Values on it and you can get great kits at half the retail price if sold individually. They also sell double sized products that are much cheaper in the long run!!!:thumbsup2

I just started using the starter kit from QVC-it comes with the Purity and Micro face washes as well as the hope in a jar moisturizer and hope in a tube for around your eyes/mouth. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and I love it!!! I can already see a difference in my skins texture-it's much smoother looking and the tone is evening out as well (I have issues with blotchiness). DBF says my skin looks glowing and smells like a baby-he keeps sniffing my cheeks! I plan on asking for more for Christmas!:goodvibes

What you have is exactly what I am looking at on QVC! I just wanted to ask you, as far as the purity/micro faces washes..how do you think they would work on oily skin/acne prone skin?

I have used every salicylic acid/benzoyl peroxide wash available until my skin was getting ruined..so I stopped and have just been using cetaphil with pretty good results! I was looking for something just a bit better though since it leaves me with those tiny, annoying bumps around the chin area and a few dry spots in certain places.

I have combo skin and breakout....Purity worked for me for about 2 weeks and then I started breaking out worse. I kept reading to keep using it as it was "purging" my skin. After 3 or 4 weeks of insane breakouts...I gave it up. Mom got the rest of my purity bottle...and she had better luck. Worked for about a month until her skin freaked out like mine did. Switched to Kiehls blue herbal cleanser and have liked that much better. I use the Kiehls at night and cetaphil in the shower.

Einstein's Mom- I have issues with oily-ness as well, and a bit of premenstrual acne, but when I use really harsh washes I end up with dry patches. The philosophy has seemed to alleviate both. I've used Cetaphil in the past and I would compare the gentleness of the Purity wash to that, but my skin feels cleaner (if that makes sense) than with the Cetaphil. I haven't had any issues with breakouts like the previous poster, but I'll let you know if I do.

I don't like their skin care (breaks me out), but I do love the Supernatural Mineral foundation and Soul Owner foot cream.

Another Philosophy girl here!

I love the bath & body wash, purity made simple and hope in a jar.

The purity cleanser is awesome and often you can get a free 4oz with a small purchase and free shipping on the Philosophy site. Just watch for the coupon codes.

I find most of their products too scented to use. However, I love the microdelivery peel kit. I can stand the purity face wash and the hope in a jar cream, but the amazing grace body wash was way over the top with scent.

Love the Margarita body wash....
Just bought my MIL who is in very poor health and has been for many years, but just keeps fighting through and then through again, Amazing Graze for her birthday. She loved the words on the box more than anything else....one of the reasons I bought it for her.

I've enjoyed the JumpStarter kit. I was just looking around on drugstore.com, and it was $50, and at the time I was looking, you'd get a free Amazing Grace bodywash sample (or something like that). I liked it more when they had the vitamin C powder, but they've swapped that out for something else now.

I love the Philosophy cleanser, Hope in a Jar and Eye Hope. I have some extremely dry patches (misdiagnosed as psoriasis they're so dry) and it works nicely. It seems to get rid of the excess dry skin without causing irritation. The only negative for me is that my youngest daughter hates the smell just after I use them. I don't notice a smell and I'm normally sensitive to fragrances. Every other cleanser and cream that I've tried has caused burning (other than Ivory soap which somehow my skin could handle, though the cleanser is so much better).

My oldest step-daughter bought Hope in a Jar at the same time I did. She has oily, pasty skin. It mader her skin pastier. I'm not sure how well it'll work for oily skin.

Love the Margarita body wash....

ooh...I haven't tried that one...sounds yummy. Right now I have fruit punch which makes me smile in the AM and I had Pink Lemonade this summer just for a sweet lemony kind of shower :)

I love their scents for body wash! Cin buns in my fav

I love it! Purity Made Simple really worked well with my skin. It is actually cheaper to buy the big bottle off of QVC!

I have been using this for years and love it. My must haves are Purity and Hope in a Jar. I do like the microdelivery scrub too and eye hope but I can use the hope in a jar on my eyes and it does the same thing.

I agree QVC has always had it cheapest.

As for Amazing grace fragrance that so many people seem to just love, I suggest trying it first. I got a free sample with one of my kits. I put it on and left the house and had to turn around and go home to scrub my skin till I couldn't smell it anymore. It literally made me sick to my stomach it smelled so bad on me.

HTH

I LOVE the Purity cleanser! I buy the large bottle and it lasts forever. I tried the Hope In A Jar and hated it. It caused me to break out. Maybe that was actually a good thing because it saves me money!

I started using the "miracle worker" kit last year. I love how Purity Made Simple makes my skin feel super-clean! I also like the Microexfoliating wash as it makes the skin feel smoother. I like the Hope in a Jar, but I wish it had spf in it. I only use it at night now.

I have oily, acne-prone skin. The system didn't really help with the acne. Philsophy used to have a wonderful acne kit, but they no longer carry it. They have another acne kit, "On a clear day", but it's not the same formula as the previous kit, and didn't work on my skin.

For acne, I started using the acne system from Clinique (got it as a free sample from Sephora!) The only thing I liked in it was the toner.

I think I'm going to go back to using Proactiv once my FSA kicks starts up in January.

Another Philosophy fan here! I love just about all the products and use Purity Made Simple on a daily basis (and have for over 8 years). The shower gels are great and I also love the makeup. My favorite of the fragrances is Amazing Grace.
