Does anyone know if there are any pet friendly RCI resorts in the U.S. that are on the list for DVC exchanges? It sure would be nice to bring our well behaved little furry family member. I know they have some in Europe, but not sure about here.

probably not.

westgate (now all their properties) and Festiva

there use to be away to check for pets allowed but it looks like RCI has done away with that option.

so would call DVC (unless you have your own membership with RCI) and get them to call RCI and get you a list.

Silverleaf use to - but they stopped it several years ago

There are lists of pet friendly resorts on the web. It's hard to know if any resort found there is still pet friendly. I know the Westgate Williamsburg, Gatlinburg and at least on each in MB & Branson are pet friendly (or were a year or so ago). Normally Westgate's are but it's resort by resort and not listed as such in II. There are a couple in Orlando.

II show's 158 resorts when you search but I know that some listed don't allow pets and some that do aren't listed.

Even when they allow pets, it's not always that simple. Sometimes it's only for owners, sometimes it's only in certain units/buildings and often there is a fee.

ASAMOF, when you used to search II for DVC (when with them) there were times when some of the DVC resorts would make the list as pet friendly.

Thanks, Dean, you really are a knowledgeable and helpful member on the boards here. I'm frequently amazed and impressed with all the great information I see in your comments!

Thank you for those kind words. We all have our areas of knowledge and have to stick together whenever possible.
