I was wondering which restaurants you liked the most and your favorite dish there. I am a big fan of the sushi in the Japan Pavillion. when we go this time, we aren't going into the parks so I need to find a good restaurant in the resorts area.

We are, and while I haven't been to the World since I was pescatarian (about 8 years, eek) these are the ones we have scheduled:
Narcoossee's
Kona Café
Kouzzina
Akershus (after we read a review claiming about there being too much fish there ... DH: "The appetizer buffet has THREE types of salmon? I'm there!")
Sci-Fi
Jiko
Mama Melrose (Fantasmic package)
Boma breakfast
Cape May breakfast

1900 Park Faire had a great shrimp pasta last time we ate there. I am a pescatarian (14 years) and have found something at almost all of the restaurants. The problem is with DD8. Not as many table service restaurants offer something she can eat, and the ones that do are usually mac & cheese or pizza. She has a hard time eating "kid" food when we're enjoying salmon or shrimp, so we often stick with the buffets which always have a seafood entree.

If you're a sushi fan, absolutely try California Grill. The sushi chef there does amazing things. It just about killed me to watch all the yummy goodness going by to other tables and be stuck with a boring old California roll because I was pregnant and the raw goodies were off-limits. I can't wait for the non-pregnant redo on our next trip!

Pescetarianism is the practice of a diet that includes seafood and excludes mammals and birds. In addition to fish or shellfish, a pescetarian diet typically includes some or all of vegetables, fruit, nuts, grains, beans, eggs, and dairy. The Merriam-Webster dictionary dates the origin of the term "pescetarian" to 1993 and defines it to mean: "one whose diet includes fish but no meat."[1]:fish::fish:

I had actually never heard that term until last week's Top Chef Las Vegas episode - the bride that they were cooking for was a pescetarian

I'm pescetarian and have been for 6 years (vegetarian for 11 years before that).
The restaurants that I've really enjoyed so far have been:
CRT - love their pasta dish!
Kona - The Tuna Oscar is one of my all-time favorite entrees anywhere. The sushi not so much though with the sweetness.
Sunshine Seasons - love the seared tuna salad and the roasted beet and goat cheese salad.
Boma - LOVE all the choices and selection.
Columbia Harbor House - The Lighthouse Sandwich (hummus and broccoli slaw) is awesome! Chowder and fish and chips are good too!

Our choices for next time:
Flying Fish
Princess Storybook in Norway for lunch (the salmon sandwich sounds good!)
Crystal Palace (hear great things!)
50's Prime Time (fish sandwich sounds great!)
California Grill (must get sushi!)

I would also love to try Kimono's for Sushi at the Dolphin (or Swan?) but not sure I can convince my husband!
We may try Teppan Edo too, we love our local hibachi place

We've found plenty at Chef Mickey and 1900 Park Fare. This December, we'll try Sanaa at AKL. I've read good reviews about the food and atmosphere. They have a banana wrapped fish and Dum Biryani - fresh vegetables and basmati rice wrapped in bread dough with pineapple raita $13.99. I did a search for the veggie option and found it. I think I'll try that one. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's on disneyfoodblog. I'm not sure if the rice that comes with the fish is veg, but they may sub something. We also ate at Wolfgang Puck Cafe, which was tasty, but didn't agree with me. I've read some good reviews of the maize encrusted halibut at Jiko, as well. The photos look delish!

Now I'm just hungry, lol. There are so many places I like to eat at in the park, but this time we aren't going in. I just want to stick to the resort and downtown Disney area. Thank you all for the suggestions.....my mouth is already watering
