Will you take the good and the bad?
The good:
Trans-Siberian Orchestra rocks! I loved this concert. Their music is phenonemal! The light show with the music is wonderful. What a talented group of musicians! I can't say enough about them.
I do have to say, however, that I did like the instrumental part of the concert better. My husband and I were both very tired and we needed the pep in the music to keep us going. The first part of the show was very good but because we were so tired, the slow music and the vocals made us a little antsy for the "rock" part of the concert. I just wish I hadn't been so tired so I could have truly enjoyed the first half. The second half - well, it made me come alive. The finale was awesome!
Try to go see them when they come back to your area. You'll be in for a real treat!
The bad (may I vent here a little?) -

Nothing against TSO!
It's the dang people in the audience (DP for short).
(1) DH & I had tickets next to an aisle. We had what I thought was a great view - a little far back but I knew the binoculars would come in handy. The problem was the steady stream of DP coming in late to the concert blocked our view of the stage. TSO started the concert with "Wizards in Winter". They had, I think, an incredible light show to go with the song. I say I think they had a good light show as I couldn't see because of the STEADY STREAM OF DPs trying to find their seats. This managed to calm down after about 15 minutes into the show.

Because we missed the light show and missed seeing the band because our view was blocked, all I could think about was the house decorated with with lights synchronized to flash to this song.
(2) One of the DPs had a baby - had to be less than a year old. What was she thinking!!!! And, she sat right behind me. Poor baby kept crying, mother kept getting up and down - bumping into DH. She finally left the show during the second half. I can't imagine the harm this loud music would do to this poor child's ears!!
(3) DP kept going up and down the aisle: Mother w/baby, some girl with a tube top on (it was only 35 degrees outside) with big hooters that managed to bounce with the beat of the music as she went up and down the aisle (my husband probably liked that part), a really frail woman that could barely make it up and down the aisle (why did she have to keep getting up anyway?) Everytime she made it up to where we were sitting, she would stop to catch her breath...blocking our view. I felt sorry for her but I would think there would be more accomodating seats for her situation (we saw a few handicapped seats available.) In addition to these people, there were the usual people who got up to grab food and/or take care of other business. I'll never get an aisle seat again...if it has potential to block our view.
Ok, I feel better now. Other than these little inconveniences, it was a good concert!
