Last report I saw a few minutes ago, Ivan wasn't turning north. Suddenly, I'm getting nervous. Maybe DH should take a little trip over to Home Depot and buy some plywood, JUST IN CASE. There's so much emphasis on Florida, and although I agree that they've had far more than their share of weather problems, having endured 2 big hurricanes, and so I don't want Ivan to go there, I'm now afraid it's going to surprise everyone and head straight toward Texas. It seems that they keep waiting and expecting it to turn North. Why? I just keep looking at it and seeing it headed straight toward us. Please-is anyone else worrying too or am I the only worrywart here in Texas worrying about Ivan?

Well we hadnt worried about it yet, we will just wait and see what course it keeps taking. But Im pretty my grandmother is worrying right along with you :)

I'm in Mississippi although I'm away from the coast I'm still watching it. It would be worse for us if it hit Louisiana and if it hit Texas we would also be sure to get some of it.

Hoping it DIES although I know thats a long long shot!

I am fairly close to Beauty and we are watching ivan continue west as well.. if it was to hit and run up the Misssissippi River we would both be sure to get flooding and as strong as it is probably worse. So no you arent the only non-Floridian watching him, of course we watcch the Florida hits too because DW's sister is in Jacksonville and just a few miles from the bewach.
