Any other Sac AP owners?

This is awesome! I always wanted to try to drive down for the day and then drive home that same evening but never ended up doing it.

WE both said it was worth it! Just wish we would've left sooner, like I said it was spur of the moment. It was a little easier both switching off. If you get a group it might even be better! But we definitely wont go just the two of us! Of course with me being such DL crazy; i will not say NEVER. lol If you are brave enough to try it let me know how it goes.

Yes! We are crazy I know! Lol left last minute at 10 lol got stuck in traffic and got there at 7! Stayed till midnight then came home! It was totally worth it! But lesson learned lol

I bet it was tough but a fun adventure!

Since we are all from the same general area, I have to share a great tip that has made our drive much easier. After spending a full day in the parks we leave and drive to Santa Clarita instead of staying in an Anaheim hotel. We wake up the next morning having missed the LA morning traffic, enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then drive home in a lot less time.

Exactly! I got our $49 December flights on June 2. The sale was only for 3 days and the site was down for 2 of them! It looked like this:

I do remember in 2013 we planned the trip early and got those $49/way fares. We also were able to mainly use our RR and for our party of 5 (DH, DD, my parents, & myself) I think our total was around $150 for all 5 of us. This trip we are planning a bit too close (decided in August, traveling in November) I think to find the good fares for our trip. Since we are planning on the AP, I will have to try to plan next year's trip more in advance, though the February trip will be hard since I won't know my work schedule for 2016 until sometime in November.

Off topic, but I LOVE your photos! Do you offer lessons? :D

Elk Grove Chris is an amazing photographer. I drool over his pictures.

FYI, Southwest is having a three day sale with fares as low as $59 each way. Looks like the $59 rate is out of Oakland though. Sac was still showing $69 as the cheapest through early February.

Hahaha, I was just coming here to post this info! I was able to change my September flight. I only saved $4.00, BUT I was able to get the time I had originally wanted, so now we will arrive an hour earlier!

I just went back and looked at what I paid for my September flights. Bought them back in March for $31.63 each way, before all the taxes and fees. Total round trip for two out of Sac was $192 and change.

Wow! That is great! I'm paying $296 round trip for two. But I didn't buy early...

Although, I did use discounted Target gift cards to purchase Southwest gift cards that were on sale, so in reality I paid less, but still nowhere as good as what you got. :)

How long does it take you to get to Santa Clarita?

There are so many of us who live in the Sacramento area. We should have an unofficial DIS meet in our area. It would be so much fun for us all to meet.

Yes! Question for you all...why does it seem like there are more dismeets on the east coast? The closest dismeet I can recall since listening to the podcasts was in Arizona years ago.

My Fiancé and I would love to meet everyone! We need to plan a Disney take over day lol

I think it just takes people to organize them. More East Coasters know about GKTW where West Coasters are more familiar with Make a Wish.

It's a great day to be alive!!!
