I have found my television set permanently set to Food Network lately and have been trying out a bunch of recipes from the shows...my favorite so far being the Chicken Marsala recipe from Emeril (even thought Rachel Rays mexican lasagna was easy, yummy, and also a big hit in the house!)
Anyone else with me on this weird obsession with Food Network, if so what are your fave shows...which are your least favorite??
my sister has even started calling me a food geek (even tho i call her a mac -nerd) lol

I love Giada and the Neeley's. They are just too adorable!! Paula is sometimes too fake with her southern drawl, but I love to cook out of her cookbooks and I have her copper bottom pots that are to die for! I also love Good Eats, Iron Chef American, Unwrapped, etc. I don't like Emeril's show (I don't need a band to be cooking), the female with the short dark hair ( I can't even remember her name), Sandra Lee ( everything is just way too "nice" on her show!
) and Rachel Ray's voice is like scratching a chalk board!
Not to mention, I already know her grandpa used nutmeg in everything and not every dish needs olives!!
I LOVE the Food Network. I even really, really like their magazine (I didn't think I would; I have tried quite a lot of recipes from the magazine). I just made Tyler Florence's scalloped potatoes last night for dinner
[although she says perfect A LOT but anything's better than having to hear one more of Rachel Rays' EVOO
]), Good Eats, Barefoot Contessa, and Diner's Drive In's and Dives. Quick Fix Meals with Robin Miller is also a favorite (being single it's nice to be able to have a few ingredients and be able to make different meals with them all week). Paula seems to develop a heavier southern accent over the years and says "y'all" A LOT more than she did when she started on Food Network. I don't know something is just starting to seem fake about her. Ok, maybe I watch TOO much Food Network
.
