Denise, I don't know how Kosher you keep, but I am totally curious. Have you seen the "Passover Cokes" around where you live? I am so trying to find them. We are Catholic so we don't keep Kosher ;) but I hate high fructose corn syrup with a passion. So if you have seen it, let me know as I am dying to find out where people are finding it :teeth:
It's just difficult to find soft drinks w/ just regular boring sugar these days.

That kind of ties into caffeine. I've dropped it off mostly and did it years ago. I do have an occasional Coke now and then, but for the most part I don't intake caffeine. Keep in mind you do NOT have to give it up while pregnant... just limit it. I believe about 2 cans of coke or coffee a day is considered fine. I'd have to look at my old pregnancy packet to be sure.

I do believe Barq's rootbeer DOES have caffeine in it. That is why it has the bite. Their diet doesn't seem to though. A&W and Mugs both do not have it as well. The orange sodas and the clear sodas (unless an energy drink) in addition to gingerale do not have caffeine either.

I've been thinking about Emily as well... I do hope she is doing okay.

Thanks for the Steph update! I hope she goes into her doc for a blood test at this point ;)

Rebecca, enjoy date night!

Imarried I will so keep my fingers crossed for you!

I am sure for us this month was a bust and I am good with it. I really think I'll do my best to take the next few months off though so we can go to WDW w/o an extra ;) Maybe we'd get lucky there anyway :teeth:

I have to correct you because some orange soda does have caffeine. It bothers my stomach which is why I stopped having it years ago. I had a bad reaction to some orange soda (which I always thought didn't was safe) so I did some research. Here's a link to a site that lists caffeine content in sodas
http://wilstar.com/caffeine.htm. If the link doesn't show up just google the words "caffeine soda" and it will be the first hit.

Just an FYI - ALL the sodas in the Cool Station (is that what it's still called?) at EPCOT have caffeine in them, even the ginger ale. I aked while I was there in October. Can you imagine the poor parent who let their children drink the ginger and watermelon sodas thinking they were caffeine free and can't figure out why they are bouncing off the walls.

Hello, ladies :wave2:

I was wondering if anyone has heard from Becky (op) since she's had the baby? She posted on the PMS thread the night before she was to have her. I'm hoping that everything is fine and Vaylie's a healthy little princess. I have Becky's address, I'm going to drop her a line.

I was also a little a worried about the bus accident with the baseball team. One of the team players has the same last name as Becky and is from the same state. I know, more than likely, it's a coincidence but I would hate to think it's a relative of her dh's.

Anyway, thank you, sorry to interrupt. I do want to add that I wish every one of you the best of luck with your efforts in conceiving and/or your pregnancies.

Hi everyone. Diana was in the hospital over the week. She had her appendix removed. It didn't rupture which was could and everything went well. She is such a trooper she wanted to play basketball when we went to see her game

LOL, I've been to that site recently as well... it showed me that it was a visited link. I did look and one of the orange drinks did have it. Not one I've ever drank before... that is odd! I also didn't realize that the ginger ale at Ice Station cool had it. I like that stuff... again odd to me since all the ones I drink aren't. Then again I rarely drink enough of those sodas to really notice (having more to do with the high fructose corn syrup stuff)

No word on Becky here. I figured she was in the hospital for at least 2 days. Then due to the c-section, she is probably laid up for a while. I'd give her a week or two. That and they don't have online access still as far as I know. Hopefully soon!

So sorry to hear that Diana was so bad off this week. I do hope her recovery continues to go well!

Elaine,

Kosher is the ONLY way I eat. I have yet to see the Passover Cokes...but I don't really look for them, because I don't keep soda in my house. I did by a liter of sprite a few weeks ago because of an upset stomach and it's still in my fridge. I've done well with that one, but it will probably be the last one I buy for awhile. If I see the Passover Cokes anytime soon, I will let you know...it is about that time. :thumbsup2

AF is still here...has been since Thursday..and she's being nasty this month! In all ways intended...excuse if it's TMI. I forgot that being on the pill kept my flow nice and neat...oh boy. I hope it doesn't stay this way..I had to throw away a pair of pants today I ruined. :headache: Someone tell me, why in the heck I put on white pants on my 3rd day of AF as heavy as she's been this cycle??!! I know, I know...put the crack pipe down. So anyway....I guess I'm official now for TTC. It's my first month of cycling being off the pill. Hopefully I'll have a little more time between my next flow. This one was only 24 days between the two. I'm looking for at least 28-30. It was like that when I was younger for many, many years, but I know bodies change often. I ordered me some kosher vitamins that I'm going to start taking as soon as they arrive. Going to also try to loose about 20 pounds before baby comes along. I'll lose about 5 pounds the week of Passover and I can't wait for that! :cool1: :cheer2: I weighed myself last Wed and nearly fell off the scale. BUT AF showed up the next day, so that explained some of it.
Hope all you girls are doing well. I love following your stories!

Blessings always! :flower3:

Before completely giving up on the pants, try putting hydrogen peroxide on the spots. I work for a vet and we get blood on things on a regular basis and it works wonders. It foams up and gets warm, blot it up with a rag and apply a bit more until it stops foaming. Rinse in cold water before washing. I've had to clean blood out of carpet before and this is the best way to get it up. I recommend trying a small area like a seam of the clothing or a corner of the carpet to check for colorfastness (esp on darker colors) before dumping a lot of peroxide on it. This little tip has saved numerous pieces of clothing at my house.

Good Morning Girls!! Sorry I have been MIA lately -but, it looks like there's been A LOT of great news going on here!! :thumbsup2 Things have just been crazy here - it's the busiest two months of the year for me at work & we're shorthanded with my coworker out on maternity leave, so lots of overtime for me recently. I went to see my coworker & her new baby on Weds - she came about 5 1/2 weeks early & she is SO tiny!! She's only about 4 1/2 lbs & just has the tiniest little fingers & toes! I held her for awhile & she was just the cutest thing! :goodvibes

We have been busy at home cleaning & organizing the house & finally met with our realtor on Thursday, so now our house is officially on the market. Whew! We have the realtor walk thru tomorrow, so I'll be cleaning again tonight - luckily at this point it's just standard vacuuming, dusting, etc. Most of the special projects are winding down. We also met with our mortgage guy to get pre-approved on the new house on Thursday - still waiting to hear back on a payment approval on that one. Friday was hubby's birthday, so we went to dinner & enjoyed some time together. Saturday, we went out of town for another military ball - this one we had a blast at!! We hung out with some friends we don't get to see often enough & had a great evening. :)

I'm either about to O today - Weds, or it's possible that I did yesterday - waiting on tomorrow's temps to help confirm what is going on. Things have just been so crazy lately I'm worried my O will be delayed.

Michelle - Congratulations!!! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes That is just such awesome news!!! :) I bet you & DH are just thrilled - you've been through so much, it's just wonderful to see your BFP's!! :thumbsup2

Nicole - that first beta sounds great!! Twins would be so much fun! Keep us posted on your next results! :goodvibes

Skuttle - sorry to hear about another preggo girl at work - that has to be rough. I agree though, maybe start drinking more water there!! LOL ;) Thanks for thinking of me - I've just been so exhausted after overtime at work & cleaning, packing up stuff at home every evening, that I don't make it on-line as much as I'd like. :)

Becky - congrats on Vaylie making an appearance - I can't wait to see pictures! :)

Elaine - thanks for thinking of me! I hope you get to plan that trip to WDW soon!! It could be your lucky trip! ;)

IMarriedGrumpy - your weekend away sounds wonderful - I hope you get lots of time together & it ends up being your O time. ;)

Welcome to all the new girls - this is a great bunch of gals!! I hope you all stick around! :) Well, I better get back to work - talk to you all again soon!! :)

I was in Wal-Mart last night buying my weekly DVD and I headed over to HBA and got myself an ovulation kit. :hyper: I decided to go ahead and get it so when I'm ready to start testing, I'll have it ready. I probably won't start tracking til I become regular. AF just finished today....after 4 days, so let's see how this cycle goes. It's a Clearblue Easy Kit where I just pee on the stick...hope it works better than the digital pregnancy test I got a few months ago. Last time it told me there was an error...from too much pee! Okay. :scratchin :confused3
Must get ready for work now. Later! :wave2:

Hi Guys

Hope you all had a good weekend.

We told our parents and our siblings (and their spouses) that I am pregnant yesterday -- we had everyone over and shared the good news. Lots of tears, hugs and cheers.

It was a good day!

Michelle's 2nd beta was today - can't wait to hear her results.

Emily - nice to see you again!

Everyone else - have a good day!

-Nicole

Hey there!!

Good to hear from you Emily. I'm glad you guys had a great time at the Ball. :thumbsup2 Sorry you have been so busy lately and hopefully things will calm down for you soon.

Well I'm supposed to see AF around 3/11 and I am not having my normal PMS. :confused3 No sore bbs, no crabbyness. The only thing I have is slight crampy feelings and bloating. :scratchin Only time will tell.

Looking forward to hearing what Michelle's 2nd Beta is pixiedust:

Nicole-It must have felt so great to be able to share your news with your family :goodvibes

I knew I loved the Disbpards for a reason! I stumbled onto this thread and I almost cried I was so happy. I only read the first and last pages, but I can't tell you how great I already think it is. I can't wait to come home tonight and poor through it. I can't wait to "meet" everybody. Here's a quick bio for me. I'm 33, married for 9 1/2 years. We decided to TTC a couple of months ago. I have been off the pill for @ 1 1/2 months, but we haven't really tried yet. my DH is excited, but really nervous about the whole thing so he really doesn't like to talk about it. It's the biggest thing we have ever decided to do, and I feel like I have to hold back with him (he is the MOST wonderful man, I just feel like I need to give him some space and time to deal with it in his own way). No one I know is TTC so I am so happy to have people to talk to. Thanks for this thread!!!!

There are a bunch of wonderful ladies on this thread!!! We are here to support each other no matter where are journey takes us.

hey guys, beta number is great- it came back as 865 (18dpo). we needed it to be about 550 to meet the 'increase' they want. they want it to quadruple from the original 139 four days ago. so it did more than go up 4X, it went up 6X. so that is good news, it is above avg or on part for the doubling/increase times! yeah! so no more appts until our first u/s on march 22nd, at which point i will be 7 weeks, so we should see the heartbeat then! i cannot wait! DH is afraid there are 2, especially with my super high progesterone. i get to stop doing the nightly tortuous progesterone in oil shots and do a suppository instead now, since mine is so good/high. yeah!

Nicole- when is your first u/s??

Princess tinkerbell- welcome! this site has so much info and support, you will love it!

emily- congrats on getting the house all ready, that must be so exciting, i always love setting up house somewhere new!

well i am doing my best to stay away from caffeine- luckily i don't drink coffee, root beer or orange sodas, so it won't matter what they have in them for me. i drink tons of water and V-8. i am picky eater, so i drink the V-8 to help get more vitamins in, plus it counts as 3 serving of veggies! i know, i am cheating! lol

i hope everyone is doing well and that o-time is going smoothly for all! is anyone in the 2WW now?

Yeah Michelle!!!!! Great number!!!! Is it starting to sink in yet...your going to be a MOMMY!!!!! :grouphug: I'm glad you get to stop those nasty sounding shots...but at least they did their job!! :goodvibes Can't wait to hear how your u/s goes.

I'm in the last week of the 2ww. Not much going on. Not to hopefull for this cycle so I guess it is Clomid here I come and lucky number 13 ( I hope ).

Michelle...That's wonderful!! Great numbers!

Nicole...How exciting to be able to tell your family. :goodvibes

Emily...Great to hear from you! Sounds like you are very busy! Good luck with your house.

Princess Tinkerbell...Welcome! This thread is a wealth of knowledge and support from a wonderful group of ladies! Good luck!

Rebecca...Good luck with the rest of your 2ww!! Our cycles are very similar. I'm on CD24. Last month AF arrived at 28 days, just like when I was on BCP. All the other months since being off BCP AF has arrived around CD 30-32, so I'm not sure when to expect her this month. :rolleyes2

Just found out today that our Corgi, Milo, will need surgery on Wednesday. We noticed a spot on his paw a couple of weeks ago. It looked like a bug bite. Didn't seem to bother him so we didn't worry about it. Well, this past week we noticed it was getting bigger and Milo also started to lick it. We brought him in today and he'll get it removed on Wednesday. Vet seems to think that it's nothing...that it'll get removed and that'll be the end of it. Of course, he had to inform us of all possibilities, included it being an agressive tumor that will need add'l treatment. Hopefully, that's not the case!

Well, I broke down & bought OPK's yesterday at lunch, came back & took one and it was very positive!! :goodvibes I had been upset with myself for staying up too late on Saturday & then sleeping in Sunday after a few beverages the night before since I thought Sunday was an important temp day. It looks like I'm O'g today with the +OPK yesterday at noon & a slight temp dip today. I also had the worst pains/cramps last night that I'm assuming were O pains. I hope that's a good sign! ;)

I spent the evening cleaning like a mad woman, and kept getting sidetracked on little projects around the house. We have our realtor walk-thru from 11-2 today where all the realtors at our realty company can come & walk thru the house to see what it's like. Hubby's taking the looney dogs over to my mother-in-law's & then meeting me for lunch to get out of the house in time before going into work. Hoping for one more BD tonight to hopefully seal the deal! :rotfl:

Skuttle - I hope Milo's surgery is uneventful & it turns out to be nothing. I'm familiar with doggie surgeries - our chocolate lab, Colby, had to have emergency surgery on a Saturday when hubby was out of town due to eating a hunk of mulch & getting it lodged in his small intestines. It was a rough couple days for both of us, but he's back to normal now! :goodvibes

Michelle - that's great news!!! How exciting! :goodvibes So, are you hoping for twins? I think it would be awesome to have twins, a lot of work at first, but it would just be really special at the same time. I will hopefully be in the 2WW starting tomorrow. ;)

Princess Tinkerbell - Welcome!! pixiedust: I'm 28 (almost 29) & have been married for almost 7 years now. Hubby told me he was ready to start a family while we were at WDW in October - really made my trip!! :thumbsup2 So, I stopped taking my pills right at the end of the trip & was actually successful my first month trying, but we had a loss in December at 10 weeks. I think my body was confused after being on my pills for so long. Things seem to have normalized again & we're actively trying to conceive again. I highly recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility & going to fertilityfriend.com to learn more about your cycles. It's great to know when your best times to conceive are each month. :wave2:

DisneyDreamer - don't give up hope yet!! AF isn't here & maybe the different symptoms mean something?! ;)

Nicole - that must have been SO wonderful sharing your news with the family - I can't wait to hear about the ultrasound. :)

Nicole- when is your first u/s??

Hi Guys

Michelle - my first ultrasound is the week of March 19th - don't know which day yet as it is not scheduled yet.

I have my 2nd beta tomorrow and I am very anxious. It is supposed to be around 2400 - but I am nervous that it will be a lot less - especially if there was 2 and now there is only 1 --- I have no reason to believe there ever was 2 or that there is only 1 now -- but I am just anxious about this beta tomorrow!

*****************

Emily - great news on the positve OPK - good luck!

Michelle - great beta number - you are well on your way.

Skuttle - so sorry to hear about Milo - hope all goes well. My bulldog is having surgery on his ACL on 3/20 - they really are our babies!

Princess Tinkerbell - welcome - this is a great group of knowlegeable ladies!

Rebecca - good luck. Fingers crossed for you.

Emily-Best of luck with your realtor walk thru. We sold our home by owner so I didn't have to deal with any of that. But OH do I remember the CLEANING. :crazy2:

Skuttle-Sorry about Milo. I hope everything goes smoothly. My Sisters dog had a mass removed from his paw as well. He is a very active dog so it was really hard to keep him from tearing his stitches out. But he is all good now. Hope Milo turns out the same pixiedust:

Nicole-I'll be thinking good high beta thoughts for you!!!!

Thanks for the support girls!!! I can always count on you guys to cheer me up. I will try to stay positive until the hag shows. :thumbsup2 Well off to the Post Office and grocery store.

Rebecca

don't give up hope yet...maybe this is the month that AF goes on an extended vacation! I hope so for you. I think it is a good sign that you don't have any of your normal PMS symptoms yet -- that is something new and different and who knows what it means -- could be something good.

If it makes you feel any better -- my nurse told me that ususally you don't have pregnancy symptoms until about 6 weeks into the pregnancy -- so hang in there!

Look at me - I am 3 weeks pregnant (5 weeks in medical terms) and I have no symptoms - really none -- I am crampy and tired but I think that is the progesterone. I am not naueseous, my b oobs don't hurt - I really am symptom free right now - which I took to be a bad sign but my nurse said is actually quite common until I get a little further into the pregnancy.

So relax - keep your fingers crossed - buy some tests -- I like the First Response Early Detector (although I know others here hate it), the Clear Blue Easy pos/neg sign and the EPT pos/neg sign. SKIP THE DIGITALS entirely - it is way too early to get a digital postive. But -- you could probably take a HPT on Friday or Saturday -- certainly on Sun if AF is due Sun.

Fingers crossed for you!

Sending good thoughts.

Hugs,
Nicole
