Elaine - congrats on your new furbaby Lily - she is precious! As for getting down in the dumps about whether things will happen for you and Luis -- the best advice/words of encouragement I have ever gotten during this process was that someone once told me "we parent the children we were ultimately intended to parent and that our kids will find us..." Those words have given me strength!

Michelle - how are you - first day back at work? What is the frozen/fert report? I am so happy that you had such 2 great quality blasts to snuggle into your belly!! I am thinking about you!!

Skuttle - almost O day for you - good luck!

Amber - sorry to hear about the BFN -- but it is encouraging that AF is so late -- have you tried testing again?

Mindy -- FF is a good site to use - I hear they are generally pretty accurate -- good luck!

Carla -- if you check in - can you give me some info about when you were able to test and get a positive after your IVF? My beta is not until 2/28 and the wait is killing me!!

Well - I am still in my 2ww and it is killing me. I read something on my other board about the progression of the embroyo after a 3 day transfer and it basically said that at 6 days past transfer (which is where I am today) that the embroyo is nestling into the lining (after hopefully implanting yesterday) and that at 7dp3dt (7 days past 3 day transfer) it starts growing fetal and placenta cells and that at 8dp3dt (Sat) it starts emitting HCG and continues to do that and by 11dp3dt (Tues) there is enough HCG to be detected on a home pregnancy test.

So according to that - the earliest I could possible see a faint line is Sat but the likely time of seeing one is Monday or Tuesday -- ugh!! Despite that - I have been testing everyday - even though the rationale side of me knows that there is no HCG yet and therefore no way to get a positive test - I keep testing -- but the problem is that with each negative -- I start to freak out a little bit more -- my husband keeps telling me to stop testing until I at least get into a plausible window where I could see a line - but I can't help myself.

I am so desperate for even a faint line like Stephs! But the problem is that I don't know when my "period" day would be and therefore have no frame of reference for what 5 days before my period would be since I don't have a period.

So - basically - I am freaking out and am so anxious for my beta on Wed and hope that this weekend it registers on a HPT -- I really want to know (one way or the other) before the beta - and I plan to test myself the day of 2/28 -- I just want to be able to prepare myself if the news is not good...My husband is convinced it worked and we will get our positive on Wed. Nicole - I am convinced it worked, too! I can't wait to hear your good news. Maybe you should start a Boo-bay Watch II 2007. That was really my first symptom, very early on. Plus, if both little babes implanted, your HcG levels would be double what they would with a singleton, and you might get a line even earlier.

Hey, you COULD start the Boo-Bay Watch II: Electric Boogaloo 2007

Even though I saw the faintest of lines, I'm not going to get myself completely worked up until I get a "real" line. This line was beyond faint and I had to hold it at an angle to see it. Like SUPER light pink to the point it was almost white.

I remember the last time I was pregnant, I tested on the Friday before my period was supposed to start and it was a negative (I think it was supposed to start on Tuesday). I was so angry. On Sunday I tested again and it was a really faint positive. I pulled the one out of the garbage that I took on Friday and the line looked very similar to what I saw this morning.

I just wonder if it was a line that accidently showed through because it wasn't a great test. I mean, it came in a foil wrapper and the only instructions were on the front of a wrapper with a pic of the paper test going into a cup of pee. I could have done it wrong.

But you all know that when I get home I'm gonna pull that sucker out of the trash and look at it again...hehehehehe. I am dying to test again. AND YOU GUYS ARE THE **ONLY** ones who know! I haven't even mentioned word one to my hubby.

Lord help me if I get a negative test. I'm going to be heartbroken.

Boo-Bay Watch 2007 still going on strong. Still painful. Some small bloating going on. I felt sick last night after I ate, and on the way to work I HAD to eat.

Steph - can one of the doctors you work with do a beta for you? Any level over 5 is considered PG. Then you will know for sure, and don't have to wonder about that line. Of course, this weekend is only two days away!

With Hannah, the first line I got was so faint I could only see it if I held it up to a light.

Hi Guys

I don't really have any symptoms per say - and what I do have may be due to the progresterone shots. Here are the "changes" -- I have perfect skin - not bragging but it is really good - and I now have 2 zits and a red mark - I have not had 2 zits ever -- not even at 13 -- I generally where no foundation but had to wear it yesterday and today to cover up these spots. I am crampy - not period crampy - just pains down low that come and go. I am starving - I have been snacking all day -- last night I had a cheeseburger, fries, milkshake and 1/2 of an appetizer...but I don't know if these things mean anything -- they could be from stress - they could be from the progesterone shots - could be nothing.

My boo-bays (love that word Steph!) are not any bigger and don't hurt - if I push on them - they hurt but are not really sore just in general - they were sore the weekend after transfer but I think that was the progesterone - and it has improved since then.

I have been testing with dollar store tests - maybe those suck - I am going to stop on the way home tonight and get the First Response Early Detection test - it is supposed to be the most sensitive.

I went back through the posts on this board to look for Carla's results since she is the only other positive IVF person I could think of -- she got a faint positive on the NIGHT of her 7th day past 3 day transfer -- which for me would be tomorrow NIGHT.

I also did a general google search of "HPT and 6dp3dt" and found some stories of girls getting faint lines on day 6 but most people not getting positives until day 8 or 9 -- occassionally a day 7.

So = my plan is to buy the more sensitive test tonight - test Fri am, Fri pm, Sat am, Sat pm and Sun am and hopefully we see a faint line on ONE of those tests.

Again - no reason to give up hope - I know I am still kind of early - afterall if a positive was likely now - then my Beta would not be 2/28 -- it would be much earlier than that - especially when you realize blood can detect HCG at 4 or 5 ml while the tests are at least 25 and sometimes 50.

My Beta is still 6 days away - there must be a reason for that.

Denae - as for the twins angle - I thought of that too - but I read that the HCG levels would not be double for twins but would only be 20-30% higher. For now - time to stop using the dollar store tests and switch to something better. The next few days (Fri-Mon) will really be critical!!

My cold symptoms are finally fading - I've been taking Airborne to hold the worst of it off, and that's worked, but I've still be dragging. Yesterday my small client was a cranky, whiney, fussy ball of 17mo. old crabbyness, so that didn't help. She was a demanding little rhino all day, and I was so happy to hand her off to her daddy when he picked her up at 5pm! I usually love my job, but yesterday was one of those days where I wished I worked in an office instead of at home doing childcare. So far today has been better, but we're still working on signing "please" instead of whining and demanding. Right now she's quite happy running around the room, shaking her head and alternating between roaring and yelling.

I could O any day now, but so far the OPK's are showing up neg and my CM is wet but not EW. I have an 11 day spread between my earliest and my latest O CD, and DH complains that if we BD every other day for the entire possible window he'd have a heart attack! He keeps telling me "I'm an old man with high blood pressure and diabetes! I don't have the stamina of a young whippersnapper!" I remind him that he would have loved this situation 20 years ago, and he always sighs and says "those were the good old days." Sorry if that's TMI, but then again, this whole thread is TMI!!

Yeah, tell me about it. My hubby gets SO TIRED when I tell him that we HAVE to BD. He said that he'd die if he had to do it as much as I tell him we have to. Hehehehe.

Yes, lots of TMI...but that's okay We can compare stories to see who does what

BTW, I asked one of the docs that I work with that I trust to keep a secret...he said that it would be best for me to wait until the weekend to try again, but that it's really good if I DID see a line, even a faint one. I just pray it was a "real" line. I wish it could be something I could take a pic of to get opinions from you guys.

Nicole-I know it must be hard wondering...so much more so than a non-IVF 2WW becuase you know the eggs were fertilized. I really hope you get an early BFP but if you don't...don't give up hope till your beta comes back

Emily-How great you guys get to go to another ball. Hopefully your DH won't have to work at this one. You must be having fun planning your DH's b-day party!!! How fun!!!

Steph, congrats on the BFP! My first few lines were faint - actually my 2nd line was fainter than the 1st, which upset me. But, 2 days later, it was nice and dark. So, keep testing or, like Denae said, slip in for a beta.

Nicole, I got the faint BFP at 7dp3dt. I had a 3 day transfer. It was REALLY faint though and I think if I had tested the day before, it would have been negative. I got a REALLY early BFP because my betas were really high to start out. That doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things, but it's possible I just implanted early - which also doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things. But, it was good for testing purposes. I can say not to be discouraged with any BFNs, but that's impossible. It's hard to see those over and over again, even if you know there is still a chance, it's hard.

Michelle, I hope you're doing OK in your 2ww!! Hang in there!!!

Is there room for one more? I've seen your thread for awhile, but didn't post because it seemed like you were all pretty established and quite a few on their way to meeting their "goal". Congrats to all the new moms to be!
I am 27 and DH is 30. We have a DS5 and have been ttc since November 2006 when we went on our Disney cruise. Of course that's the reason we waited before trying. I'm not tracking temps, but I am tracking AF and have a general idea of when I am ovulating. I just bought a Ovulation Predictor by accident because I thought it was a HPT. Of course every month I think I'm pregnant and confuse the sign w/ PMS symptoms. My cycle is usually anywhere from 24 days - 30 days although currently I am at 36 days and counting. I have taken 2 HPT (thank goodness for $ store tests!) this week on Monday and Wednesday and got BFN each time. For the past couple of days I keep waking up around 11:00PM feeling sick to my stomach and dizzy and then early in the AM before i have to even get up. This morning was the first time I gagged when brushing my teeth and dry heaved afterward (this used to happen when I was pregnant w/ DS). The foods I usually like to eat I have no interest in, and all I want to eat is salads I've been really tired also lately. the funny thing is this is the first month I told DH that I'm not pregnant because "I don't feel pregnant" and I didn't until now. I hate this waiting game and just want to know "yes or no?"

CARLA ---- my negative test today was a 6dp3dt -- which I think is really too early --- I understand that I really should not expect a positive until around 9dp3dt but I am hoping for a faint line earlier than that. The truth is that I should not be testing this early anyway because it just makes me crazy ---- I am going to hold off until Sat or Sun -- that will 8 or 9days p3dt and that (assuming it was not a late implant) should give me my best shot for a positive!

As someone else pointed out earlier - I think the waiting with IVF is so hard because I ***know*** there is a viable embroyo in my uterus and now I am just waiting to see if it implants and sticks and grows...that should make me more optimistic but alas it is not helping.

Anyway - thanks for the info -- I am not going to lose hope until Monday -- if there are no lines by Monday (10dp3dt) I am going to assume it did not take!
But for now - i am staying hopeful since there is every reason in the world to think it worked and there is a huge chance of a positive any day now!

hey guys-

well major cramping all day, lower back pain and now burning up- but i think it is just hot in my office (it's 80 outside!). i have had some slight dizziness this afternoon in the last hour and a little nausea, but i have upset stomachs all the time. the cramping and back pain is similar to AF, but not quite. so i am hoping it is implantation pains or something. who knows. it is 7 days past O for me, since the Egg retrieval on 2/15 is my O date (drug enduced o with trigger shot). but it is only 2 days since the transfer of our 2 beautiful embryos. since i did a 5 day transfer, i heard that mine should implant like yesterday or today. i don't know that i will test this weekend. my beta isn't until next thursday. i might test next tuesday or wednesday. i don't want to get all down if i test too early and see a BFN when it really is just becasue it is too early. i have had a year of treatments drugs and BFNs. i don't want to see another! lol...

oh and none left to freeze. which sucks, but oh well. i can't change it and have to focus on the 2 blasts inside me. we had 6 other morulas (day 4/5 stage) and a few blasts, but they were not of good quality- so they don't freeze them. they waited until day 6 to check them and no go. so i am praying hard these two babies in here take. i keep rubbing my belly and praying! i am so hoping some of this cramping is good. i am on CD23. AF usually starts CD25-26. so this weekend. but since it was an IVF cycle with lots of meds, it would probably be totally off. plus i O'd late and the progesterone delays AF. i just have to wait it out and try and stay distracted!

Steph- i am joining your ****ay watch----mine have been sore since i did the trigger shot back on 2/13, and have gotten huge too. i am normally a small B- like 34B, but these babies have got to be a C now and the aerolas are huge too. the progesterone shots i am doing just make it even worse.

Nicole- good luck testing- i am not brave enough. and since i did a 5 day transfer, even though my embies were blasts, they haven't been in there long, but they could have already implanted yesterday! i hope so. it is a rough wait with IVF, knowing you have some in there and just hoping it sticks!

Imarriedgrumpy- lol at DH saying he can't keep up. just tell him you can do IVF like us, and then you don't have to bother BD'ing at all! lol.....DH didn't think that was too funny though

2 weeks ago my bbs were sore, and I had a couple really bad cramps and thought AF was going to take a beating on me and then NOTHING. I've been feeling very emotional and thought this was all PMS, but now I'm not so sure. I'm still feeling nauseas off and on throughout the day, but not too bad. I'm going to take another HPT on Sunday and will continue with the every 3 days until something happens.

Hi all~ I've been lurking, not feeling too great about TTC right now. I go in cycles where I want to do it and then I get sad and melancholy and don't have good feelings about it. I saw my GP on Tues and he gave me a once over and my annual exam. I'm waiting to hear if any of the tests are abnormal. I'm really hoping he calls and says I need thyriod replacement. That would explain a lot of what's been going on. If my thyroid isn't off, I'm still floating in the ether....... No real answer to what's going on. I've been thinking about seeing a new RE. I mostly like the one I have but have heard better things about some of the others in my area. One of them is a client where I work. I've never met him but his wife is really nice.

It sounds like a whole slew of BFPs waiting to happen around here! YAY!!!

Ok guys...here is the deal. I stopped using the dollar store tests and went on the way home from work to get a box of the First Response Early Detector tests...

well - I of course took it right when I got home and there was a faint faint faint faint line...I showed my husband and he saw the line as well - it is faint faint faint - but there is a line and it appeared about 1 minute after dipping the stick in the pee.

So - perhaps this is a line. Tomorrow hopefully it is darker -- I am going to wait until the weekend to use one of the digital tests that leave no room for interpretation - pregnant or not pregnant...but for now - I am going to sleep good knowing there was a faint faint faint faint line!!!

OMG!! I would think it was my imagine if my DH did not see it as well!

Ok - finally a good night sleep and fingers crossed for a line (hopefully darker) tomorrow!

You guys are the best!
