I love the stories about the pee-cup!! :rotfl2: Those are great!!

Well, I took another HPT this morning, and it was still a faint line - but a line (12 DPO today)! DH is still not convinced I am pg - he insists that the test should look like the example on the box! I told him that as long as there is a line, it is a BFP. He is excited, but I think he is nervous that we will get all excited, and then it will be all for none.

I am going to go out and buy another test today to take on Saturday. I figure by then (14 DPO), I should have a darker line, right? Should I get a digital? I feel like I am addicted to seeing the line, though! ;)

Congrats Kelly!!! My hubby was the same way! :lmao:

I took a First Response test at 10 dpo & 11 dpo. At 10 dpo you could barely see a line there - you could only make it out if you turned it just right! :rotfl: Hubby didn't see how stark white the test was before I used it, so he didn't really believe it at first. At 11 dpo that line got a little darker. I then went & bought a different test (Equate, I think) & took that one at 12 dpo - the line showed up so much quicker & was darker right away!! :Pinkbounc I've still never had a dark line like is shown on the box...

Steph - all of my early pregnancy symptoms felt just like AF coming along. Very bloated, tender bbs, & light crampy feelings throughout by abdomen. I think I even had a backache for a day or so. Crossing my fingers for you that AF doesn't show up on Sunday!!! :goodvibes

Elaine - So maybe today I should get a digital brand test! I think it would really make it "real" if I saw the word "pregnant" pop up!

Kelly - This was our 5th month trying. Funny b/c this month I thought we had no chance - my cycle was way off (I O'd about 6 days early!), I didn't use Preseed, no laying on my back after bd, .....you know....all those crazy things you start to do after you have been trying for a while!! ;) And, we really didn't bd that much!! We did bd on the day I O'd (just by luck!) - so I think we really just hit it at exactly the right time!
Have an AWESOME time down at WDW! Enjoy all those Christmas lights!! I saw a video on the web of the Osborne Lights dancing to music - it was so cool!!

Emily - glad to hear another DH was slightly apprehensive!! I am hoping maybe if he sees "pregnant" on a digital he will believe it is true!!

Ok, you all are cracking me up!!!!! :lmao:

fanofdisney - I too am on a 26 day cycle and all my life I bemoaned the fact that I had a shorter cycle, cuz you know it translates to more periods!!! :teeth: I used an opk this month and it worked great! It showed something on three days(though I did test more than that), one faint then one dark and then one faint. So it showed like my body was gearing up, I o'd and then geared back down.

Kelly - I want to say Congradulations!!!! :cheer2: :cool1:

Fanofdisney- sorry about AF, but enjoy your trip! i was in the 2WW when i went in august and took it easy....of course it was for nothing, since that was one of very many BFNs since i started fertility treatments. just enjoy yourself and drink up!! where are you staying?

Kelly- early congrats! i also like the digital tests- i say buy one of those to test with saturday!

well CD 13. sitting out, so i guess it doesn't matter, it is just habit to track it though. i would probably be having my 4th IUI today if i didn't have this stupid cyst. oh well. DH is in vegas anyways, so he wouldn't even be here to give his sample. so maybe it was just meant to be that way this month. Maybe God is telling me to just take a month off, drink, enjoy sex again etc. It has been nice being drug free! lol

well here at work, waiting to see if this weather turns.....it is below freezing here in Dallas and is supposed to ice over in the next few hours. everything shuts down here since us texans can't drive on ice. lol! so hoping i get to work from home for the afternoon! :rotfl:

This is how I felt with my very first BFP in July. I took the test and there was a faint line, but definitely a line. I thought, it's not dark enough and threw it in the trash in the garage. When DH came home I told him I took one but the line wasn't very dark and he went digging through the trash to get it and said I was crazy and pregnant too!

Ok....I am totally flipping out right now at work....

I was walking down the hallway (I work in a school), and my heel got caught up in the cuff of my pants, and I fell.....hard on my hands and knees. All I can think of is OMIGOD....I knocked the baby loose. My knees are all scraped-up. Do you think I am ok????? I can't believe I just did that!!! Ahhhh!!! Damn this outfit!!! I should be ok, right??!?!?!?

I really have no idea, but I will tell you that my OB and the nurse told me everything is OK this early unless there is trauma to your belly.

kellyf2626
OMG!! Are you OK? Don't worry about the baby. They are so well protected in there, especially early on. When I was a few weeks pregnant w/ DD we got into a car accident. I was scared to death about the baby. Well, when we went to the ER I was told how protected the baby is in there. I had a seatbelt on and even got a mark on my belly from it but DD was just fine. Take it easy and try to rest when you get home.

fanofdisney
Have a great trip!!

These pee cup stories are hilarious!! :rotfl2:

I saw the pregnancy tests at the Dollar Tree and I didn't think they would be any good! Well, now I know better!LOL I'll have to get some. I still have some left from my last pregnancy and they don't expire for awhile.

Kelly, I fell down the stairs when I was 14 weeks pregnant and had 2 huge bruises on my back. It scared the crap out of me! I was just fine and my dd is going to be 19 months old on Tues. and other than being a typical toddler she is completely normal. If you are really worried, call your dr. and see what he/she says but since you landed on your hands and knees you are probably fine. Congratulations btw! Oh, and I definitely recommend the digital tests. Those worked much better and much quicker for me. But a line is a line so congrats! :)

Kelly - congratulations! Don't worry about the fall - usually unless you fall right on your belly, there's no issue. I called the doc after my first fall (I have an 8month old Newfie who hasn't learned to walk in front of me without stopping every two steps to make sure I'm still there :) ) and he said unless there's bleeding, cramping, or I landed on my stomach, not to worry about it.

Michelle, I'm so jealous of your weather. I'm sitting here in NH at 60 degrees, with a snowmobile all set to go, and you have all of the good weather in Texas! Somehow this is backwards. I'm glad you got a chance to talk to your grandfather - now you don't have to worry as much (as if it's possible ;) ) about the possibility of IVF.

Desnik, welcome back! I think there's a wide variety of folks on this thread, and the more the merrier. I got a lot of great advise, and shoulders to cry on, when I was trying to get pregnant.

As far as all of the people telling you to relax, it will happen eventually, etc, I think they have no idea how much it hurts. We tried for a year and a half, did several rounds of clomid, and were scheduled for a round of IUI before it finally happened. My favorite answer, after someone had asked a few too many times, was "Gee, I could just relax? Now I can stop all of these drugs that make me so pleasant to be around :) "

Have a great day!

Jen

Kelly, I am sure the baby is fine. In all reality this early on, there really isn't much of anything to worry about, as long as there isn't huge trauma done to the abdomen area. Even then, at this point it would take a lot to do damage to a baby. So don't you even worry about that!
And yes, I am all for taking the digital test! I think I had EPT for mine, but it was one that said "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant" on it. It was amazing to see that written out. Even after that I had to test again to make sure :rotfl:

Jen, sounds like your weather is close to ours. We had it warm today but are waiting on the snow that should blow through here tomorrow  I love winter ;)

Thanks for all the support everyone! So, I guess my little one is very well protected in there, huh? That makes me feel better!

I have been pretty crampy today - and STARVING! I can't stop eating!! I took a First Response test when I got home from work - definetly a line! I also bought a package of the digital ones too - I will wait and do those on Saturday morning. Then, I figure I will call my OB on Monday. They usually don't want to see you until 8 weeks, right??

Also - I wanted to thank all of you sooooooo much for all of your caring comments and support. I always know I can come here and post whatever question I have (or embarrasing story) and get people's honest advice and experiences. You all are WONDERFUL!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes Baby dust to all of us here TTC, in a 2WW, or hoping for sticky babies!! pixiedust: pixiedust:

I have not posted here before but I have been reading this thread for about 2 months. I think it is great they way you guys support each other. I have been ttc for about 3 months. I have a 9 yr old, I know big age difference.

Kellyf: Looks like we are on about the same cycles and I think I got a faint line tonight!! I am like you, I am scared to be excited yet.

Good luck to everyone else!!!

Congrats Kelly!!!!! I'm so happy for you!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

The Pee Cup stories are great :lmao:

Well we are headed out for Hawaii tomorrow morning...and AF started today. So on Saturday I will take my first Clomid :goodvibes So hopefully the side effects won't be too bad. Anyway we will be back Tuesday afternoon.

For those with new BFP's
For those in their 2WW :wizard:
Those gearing up for BD'ing :goodvibes
And for those waiting for the next cycle :grouphug:

Rebecca - have a WONDERFUL time in Hawaii! :beach: Enjoy the sun and get a great tan!!

Alexis - CONGRATS! :woohoo: I emailed a picture of my First Response test to my mother - and she still doesn't believe me that I am pregnant. I keep telling her....a line is a line! She is not convinced. I still can't believe it is real, and am nervous for the weeks ahead. But, hopefully all will go smoothly!

Skuttle - I would return the digital ones....but I did one last night. I think DH now believes it is real since he saw the "pregnant" on the screen! I need to email my mother that one!!

Ok...question to you all out there....I think it was Jen from NH, but who told me they called Dr. Montanarella in Manchester, NH? I was curious if whoever had gone there had liked it. I need to call my OB - but she is 60min away from me. Now that I am pg, I really think I need to choose someone closer. This Dr. Montanarella is on my list. I was just curious if whoever had gone there had liked it? I am nervous about switching, but I know in the long-run it will be better. :sunny:

Rebecca...Have a great time on your trip!! And good luck with the Clomid. :goodvibes

My temp is still low this morning (97.1). CD 20. According to FF, still no O. *sigh* Last month AF arrived on CD33, so we'll just wait and see I guess. But I'm starting to think that this month is out. I thought maybe there was some EWCM the past three days, but with my temps, I'm not sure. If this month is out, at least I'll get to ride Everest in January. Gotta think about the postives, right??

Rebecca, have a great time in Hawaii, where are you going/staying? Oahu? I got to go to Oahu on the company dime last year for a tradeshow. flew DH out and we stayed extra days. loved it! we drove around the whole island and saw the stuff a lot of tourists miss. i want to visit a less touristy island next time. have a great time and enjoy the warm weather! :cool1: :sunny:

oh and good luck with your clomid. i didn't notice a ton of side effects my first cycle on it (i've taken 6 months worth in the last year, 2 with IUIs). the first cycle wasn't bad. i got some minor headaches the days I took it, but not much else. once it was in my system a while, that is when the SE started- the bloating, cramping, moodiness and the lovely hot flashes etc. But it took 2 months on it to get those SE. hopefully same for you.

Kelly- congrats- the digital prego sign should secure it as real! i am sure you are fine from your fall, as the others already posted. i have almost done the exact same thing in these long cuffed dress pants i have- i always catch my heel in them! :confused3 :rotfl:

well the snow is melting away already, but it is rare to see in Dallas, so it was nice while it lasted. roads weren't too bad, but there were tons of accidents, including a lady who's car slipped on ice and down the grass into a pond. she was rescued from her underwater car by 2 guys- they even saved her polmerian doggie!

Kelly, it wasn't me who was using that doctor. I think it was Carla. I'm up in Concord, which is probably a bit of a trip for you. From what I've heard, Bedford Commons is good, but very busy. My cousin is an NP there, and says it's a really good practice.

Good luck picking someone!

Jen

Congrats Kelly on the bfp. Kevin and I have basically decided to wait alittle while. It is just so depressing waiting for no AF and she showes up. It also seems that no one in the family wants me to have another child; they all think I am crazy since Diana is 7 and I am 38 and Kevin is 39. They also think that I don't have the money for another baby when it is really no ones buisness except Kevin and I
