Exactly!!Or what about those who ask if you're "still trying" when you only told them two months ago that you were. "No, the decision for my husband and I to try to start a family was fleeting and since it didn't happen the first month I decided it wasn't meant to be and called it a day."kellyf2626 said:Ok...have to come here and vent for a minute.....if one more person tells me to "relax" I think I may just FLIP OUT!!!Why, when people find out you have been TTC for a while, do they say that???? It bothers me soooooo much!! Like, I am going to be like - ahhhhh
- god, THAT'S why I am not pg! I just need to relax!!! Thank you so much for telling me!!!

I need a good comeback!!! What do you all say to people that tell you this?!?!![]()
But I am so very happy to hear what your grandpa is doing for you. I really do hope that you do not need to do IVF, but that is so sweet what he offered to do for you. I love his thoughts and reasoning. He sounds like a sweetie!
I would say back to them that if you relax while trying to get pregnant, your husband wouldn't like it near as much

ImarriedGrumpy said:How funny that your DH is a Grumpy, too! I call mine "Grumpy boy", but he's also known among friends and family as the Grinch, the Grump, Eeyore, and the Grouch. His bark is usually worse than his bite, but when he's grumpy, he's GRUMPY! My favorite Grumpy thing that I've gotten him is a pair of Grumpy boxer shorts I bought on our last trip to WDW. Now I can say to him "sounds like someone's wearing his Grumpy shorts today." (I'm amused!)
My dh has a pair of Grumpy pj pants, so I called him Grumpy pants
In fact, it's like a saying in my family now, asking them if their pants are grumpy today!!!!

helenabear said:CindyBeth, I admit I was a bit more cautious, but not 100%. I still did the kitty litter, I still had cold cuts, drank soda now and then... etc. I stopped drinking more or less all together a long time ago, and most of the drugs I take are all "allowed" anyway. So more cautious, but not overly cautious if that makes sense.
Any tips, on other things I could drink? Ok, besides water, of course.

). I know they mean well, I guess I am just extra sensitive.

I've heard it all. i get so sick of the 'try to relax', 'if you adopt it will happen'.....well hell, if i was adopted, that means i've given up completely on TTC my own probably, so yeah, i'll probably be less stressed then. people don't get it. i am not giving up, i can't relax until i have a child in my arms. no, i don't need a vacation. no, i don't need to hear about how fertile you are. no, i don't need to hear you *****ing about your morning sickness. folks just don't realize how insensitive it is half of the time, they aren't in our shoes and just don't know.kellyf2626 said:Ok...have to come here and vent for a minute.....if one more person tells me to "relax" I think I may just FLIP OUT!!!Why, when people find out you have been TTC for a while, do they say that???? Otherwise no one really should tell you something like that. I've heard it all too, and I guess I am a bit thick skinned so it never bothered me much. Only a few really dug deep into me.
I don't seem to be too bad otherwise, but certain things were just hard to avoid for me!skuttle said:I do have a question about charting. My DH's alarm goes off at 5:15am, so that's when I try to temp. This morning I woke up at 4:45am for some reason, looked at the clock, then went back to sleep. Never got out of bed. Should I have taken my temp then?

Hi everyone!
I had posted here awhile back and got pregnant right away. Unfortunately we lost the baby at 13 weeks. It has been about a month and a half and I have already had a period and my Dr gave the go ahead to try again. I would love to come here and contribute to this thread but I have a question. It seems that most are having a hard time TTC, is this thread mainly for people who are having difficulties? I don't seem to have a problem conceiving, but have had 2 miscarraiges and both my kids were born early, DS was a preemie. I have never charted anything, or checked my temps, etc.. I just want to make sure I am in the right place and don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I actually stopped posting when I was expecting last time because it seemed to be a thread for those who are having difficulties conceiving.

Congrats, Kellyf! That's awesome!
I'm really trying to be patient, though...one more week to go until the recommended test date... Must...be...patient....
This group is for everyone (as Michelle said) from thinking of TTC to those who just want to support others. So just know we are here with you through the ride... whatever that may be. Me personally, we tried about 10 months to get pregnant. I finally did, had an early ultrasound due to bleeding and saw the heartbeat at 6w5d. By the time we went back at 11w5d the baby had died and been reabsorbed by my body. I just had my D&C on the 17th. Even when I was pregnant, I still had to stick around here to give support to many others. So feel free to share anything you like here. I don't think all have had troubles... a few have and a few haven't... some right in the middle
I think this group is great due to the massive support I've gotten

A faint line is a line, so I betcha you are! How many DPO are you?
