According to the baby book I got last week (DOH!)....it is two early.

Are you talking about pregnancy symptoms?

I felt different when I took my pregnancy test last week but had no real symptoms aside from my pants not fitting (as they do every month anyway when the time comes).

I have 2 other kiddos--so I am not without kids! No probs with either pregnancy. We shall see for any others.

Becky - Personally, I don't think it's too early. Your hormones start going out of whack as soon as fertilization occurs. And depending on when the embryo would implant, it could be just the right time.

Will you test early? Do you have a chart I can peek at?

I wasn't going to test too early, but I'm going to go ahead and test on Sunday (since it's Father's Day)- and if I get a BFN, I'll keep it to myself, but DH would be THRILLED if I got a BFP and told him on Father's Day!!

Someone please teach me how to ignore myself. I am making myself  !!! I hate waiting. I wish I knew nothing about this baby-making business and just found out when I was already 5 months along.

Anyone ever think about that? Like- how long pregnancy will be for all of us since we will find out the first possible minute?

drive by :moped:

I had to check on Carla's fert report. Go embies, keep growing!

DS has surgery in the morning on his ears to get tubes. I'm taking the day off, so I had a lot of work to get done today. I hate leaving stuff for others to do for me.

I'll be back this weekend.

Hey everyone! It's nearly midnight (and I've had four drinks) so I thought it was a great time to get online and say hi. :wave2:

Oh, I do agree, Becky! I felt that way the first few months. But 6 DPO is a bit too early for preg signs. I didn't feel any til I was late (except for sore BBs the entire 2WW). You need to quit charting. Seriously. Once you figure out the approximate time that you ovulate, just sex it up every day/every other day that week. Then think about something else.

When I did that, that was the month I finally got my BFP. Charting makes normal women crazeeeee!! I don't want you to be one of those didn't-get-pregnant-til-I-stopped-trying types two years from now. Be one of them next month!

I've been MIA lately, but I'm so excited to catch up on everyone and see the new posters. Hey Jen, Karen, Lisa and Hillbeans (are you trying??), among others!! Good luck to everyone! :wizard:

Good to have you back Al! ;)

And if it doesn't happen this month- no charting next month, I promise. I'm sick of myself. :lmao:

Becky, back away from the thermometer. There is nothing you can do about it now anyway. You ovulated, you did what you could and there's no reason to keep popping the thermometer into your mouth since it won't change anything. :) Just tick off the days.....are you going to test on Sunday? Only one more day until the day you can test. :teeth:

scifi, thank you for checking on my embryos! I go back to fetch 'em tomorrow.

Exhaustion was definitely my first "real" sign. All of the others are brought on by the progesterone, so I never counted them as a sign. The exhaustion was insane. I think I dozed off in my chair at work. I had the worst heartburn and faded off into some unknown world....next thing I know, I woke myself up because I burped. I looked around - thankfully, it was a weekend, so the office was more or less empty. I felt like such an idiot. :rotfl:

I ovulated 5 days after the bleeding from my m/c stopped. My doctor and I were shocked since my HCG was still positive. She said it would be OK if I got pregnant, but I might have to be on estrogen patches if the lining was too thin to support a pregnancy (I bled for about 2 weeks straight!). She didn't think there would be a problem and said most time they tell you to wait for emotional reasons, not physical. She was also concerned that the rising beta would be the ectopic and not a new pregnancy and the problems that could cause, but there are ways around that and it wasn't a deal breaker.

My beta is going to be on 6/29. I'm off work all next week, too, so I plan to work 3 10's Mon, Tues, and Weds of the week after that so I can take the rest of the week off to either be mad or be happy. :)

Reread OP for QOTD.

I have to go to work today, and all I want to do is crawl back into bed. YAWN.

QOTD: I have definitely slacked off as far as bd'ing os concerned. Poor husband. But honestly, we bd'd like crazy up until O - maybe that's why I'm tired...

Hi Vettechick - no, no more trying for us - we're done!

I was just checking in to see how all of my TTC ladies are and saw a thread I just had to respond to!

Have a great weekend everyone!

I know exactly how you feel. I haven't even known I'm pg for 2 weeks yet, but it feels like an eternity! I can't believe my first ob appt is still a month away. As for the early symptoms, I think my bbs were sore from O on, they are still killing me! I am also tired all of the time, and I started getting really hungry right around the time I tested, but that may have been a coincidence since by then I knew.

Hoping the 2ww flies by for everyone :wizard: .

I know just what you mean!! I'ma compulsive tester  so my BFP's with all my pregnancies (although the first 2 were miscarriages) were on 8 or 9 DPO. Which stinks for the reason you mentioned, but also because I have a really long LP so most people don't even take me seriuosly (DH...) until I've missed AF...so that's like 10 more days of waiting until then!! And then add on the 9 additional months of pregnancy...and the grueling last few weeks where you'd do ANYTHING to go into labor...

Yeah, I hear ya! :rotfl:

I know what you mean. I barely have the patience to make it through the whole 2ww. I can't imagine how I'll survive 9 months until I see the baby.

I would love to stop charting (it drives me crazy), but my doc wants to see them every month to make sure that I actually did ovulate. So I'm stuck with a thermometer in my mouth every morning. I finally taped it to my alarm clock so I wouldn't forget.

Jen

I have nothing of substance to post...just this cute smilie:

I am still not sure if we will begin ttc this year or not. I am starting to think we might just go on vacation next Spring and start trying next Summer but I haven't completely made up my mind yet.

Just wanted to say to those of you talking about early symptoms, when I was preg. with Kylie I knew it pretty much right away. I was still working at the time and I was sooo exhausted! I am a night owl by nature so for me to be ready to go to bed right after dinner was just odd. I would have to force myself not to doze during work. I would come home and take a nap before dinner and then go to bed after dinner. I have never been that tired in my entire life...not even when I have been anemic! Insomnia didn't kick in for me until the 3rd trimester when I was just too uncomfortable to really sleep.

Another major sypmtom was I had extremely tender, sore breasts. They have never been as tender as they were when I first got preg. I also had an early aversion to the smell/sight of mayo and eggs. All of these were indicators before I ever even missed a period.

Shortly after missing my period, when I already knew I was preg., I had the most awful headaches unless I ate small meals all day long. It actually took me a while to realize it was from hunger since I didn't actually feel all that hungry but as soon as I realized that was what it was I made sure I ate frequently and the headaches stopped. I was lucky and didn't experience morning sickness.

There are tons of sypmtoms you will maybe have during different stages of preg. and I had quite a few...a lot are not very fun so I will spare you details so I don't scare you. The 3rd trimester was pretty rough for me! But obviously not so rough that I wouldn't do it again since we are thinking of ttc either this year or next! ;)

Good luck to all of you who are waiting to see what happens this month! Keeping my fingers crossed that this is the month for all of you! :)
