Any other American Idol fans?

Kellie's fan base has to be huge to keep her out of the bottom three after last night. No surprise that it was Ace though.

Andre Bocelli - what do you all think about that?

Oh darn.....I haven't watched it yet. I knew I shouldn't have read this thread yet. You all are so ahead where you are!

I'm glad Ace went home. He wasn't as good as the others left and he reminded me of a genie with his hair pulled back like that. ;)

At first I was thinking...you gotta be kidding me, Kellie is going to sing opera? :lmao:

But having classic love songs the week after the classics seems kind of strange to me. :confused3

Did anyone else wish that Simon could have judged Rod last night. I'm a fan, but he hit a CLINKER so bad I almost spit out my wine...sheesh....I would have loved to hear them judge that performance.

You hit the nail on the head or maybe that "clinker"! :rotfl:

I just read about this website earlier today on another message board.

www.dialidol.com

Has anyone else seen it. Interesting....if I remember correctly, it looks like it has correctly identified the person going home every week. If the pattern holds, according to this website...Taylor may be the next American Idol.

THat would make everyone in my house (except one DD ) very Happy

last night was funny Jess my oldest was watching the show (we taped it)
and when Chris was in the bottom three she started almost hyperventalating(sp??)
i had all i could do not to laugh
I KNEW it was ace but she was going thru torture thinking it could be Chris

I am surprised at classics after classics too

Chris fan here...very upset about his being in the bottom three this week...very tense moments in my house but we're all in agreement...we love the rockerness of Chris and want him to win.

Did anyone else think that Ace looked like a used car salesman with his hair slicked back like that and the suit? That irked me as much as his singing!

My household loves Chris, too! I was having heart palpatations when Paris was sent back as safe and it was only Chris and Ace left standing. :scared: Not sure what this coming week will hold for Chris, though. The theme is "Greatest Love Songs of All Time". Probably not his strong suit.

i've been iffy on Chris - sometimes I really like him (Walk the Line was great) and other times, not so much. But when I really hear his voice that you don't always in the rock songs, he has a good, clear singing voice that I would like to hear more of. Who knows, maybe the love songs will show it off even more and he'll pick up a different fan base?

For me Dawg...it was Chris this week. :thumbsup2 Having the 2 guitars, and him just singing there was great.

I think Taylor could have done better this week...not such a great song for him. Paris was good, hair was bad. Kathryn I liked, I thought she did better than the judges said. Kellie was sad. Elliot was good too, but I think Chris has a stronger voice. Watching Chris sing on the floor was funny too.

That's my take on this week.... :teeth:

Katharine and Chris definately this week! I agree about the others with Ddavis above. (must be the name)

Debbie

I loved Chris this week, I thought his song choice was excellent! I like Katharine and also Taylor.

I don't understand how Kellie made it this far. She was, by far, the worst tonight, imo. I hope she is gone tonight. (Sorry Kellie fans!!) :teeth:

I totally agree with you! It looked liked David Foster did a great job of working with everyone. I liked that they showed the good and the bad. For me, it was Chris, with Kat and Elliot in second. Kellie was pitiful and the makeup/hair job made her look odd.

I was baffled by the "judges" reaction to Katharine...what were THEY listening to??? Although she's never been my favorite, she blew them all away (even my beloved Taylor, who was extremely substandard last night). I liked Chris's performance as well. Still don't like Elliot, he just has no star quality. I'd like to see Chris, Katharine, and Taylor move on to be the final 3 now.
Oh, and can we puhLEEZE lose Paula Abdul? She's embarassing herself.

I agree about Katherine. She had a great night and was way better than the judges said.

Did you hear about the tift between Paula and Ryan?

Talk About It: Post Messages

NEW YORK (April 25) - "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest says he and judge Paula Abdul aren't speaking to one another, but Abdul calls reports of a feud "ridiculous."

Seacrest told People magazine last week that his relationship with Abdul was "awkward."

"I don't know what the deal is. It's very awkward," he was quoted as saying.

The 31-year-old Seacrest, who openly spars with "Idol" judge Simon Cowell, told the magazine: "Simon and I go back and forth with each other, but it's in a different way."

Asked if he was speaking to Abdul, Seacrest answered, "No."

Seacrest also said he hadn't talked to Abdul about the apparent rift.

"You know, I walked past her dressing room the other day and there was a group of people gathered in front of the door, so I can't even talk to her," he said.

Abdul dismissed reports of off-camera animosity in a statement Tuesday to The Associated Press.

"Reports of a feud are ridiculous," the 43-year-old former pop star said. "We are one funny dysfunctional family. There's nothing but love."

Any tension between the "Idol" host and judge might have come after their separate appearances on "The Tonight Show."

In Seacrest's March 30 guest spot, host Jay Leno joked about Abdul's "loopy" behavior in an "Idol" episode, to which Seacrest replied: "Well, have you listened to her album?"

And when Leno playfully asked whether Abdul had been drinking alcohol, Seacrest said, "Hey look, I don't look in their cups to see what's sitting before them on that table. But at times I feel like we have reeled her in."

During her April 10 appearance, Abdul shot down rumors that Seacrest was dating "Desperate Housewives" star Teri Hatcher .

"He only kisses the mirror," Abdul said. "And honestly, do you think Teri Hatcher is that desperate of a housewife?"

Yeah, what is going on with Paula? She always has at least 1 inappropriate bout of crying. Remember last year when she was so upset about Constantine? She was down in the audience with his mother. That was way over the top. And she cut off Simon last night, which was really rude when he was really trying to give good criticism.

That feud thing is really funny. They showed the whole thing, both clips on Extra last night. They are acting like kids, both on them. Little cuts at each other, you gotta wonder what is going on behind the scenes.

:thumbsup2

America votes...and....finally got it RIGHT!!! :teeth:
